If ever I was glad to have learned to remix my wardrobe it’d be during this pregnancy. I have roughly 5 1/2 weeks left until our due date (say wuuuuuut?!) and haven’t wanted or needed to buy a new, large maternity wardrobe thanks to learning how to remix. That, and being okay with wearing the same outfit a million times. But, who’s counting?
We’ve had several special occasions during the time I’ve been pregnant. Namely 3 weddings and 3 rehearsal dinners to go along with them. Plus squeezing in as many date nights as we can before the baby comes, birthday celebrations, engagements, and all sorts of other life stuff to dress up for. Even though I’m pretty okay with repeating outfits 5+ times (like, really) when it comes to special occasions, I try to limit the repeating to 2-3 times, especially when those occasions involve many of the same people.
We’ve got a rehearsal dinner and an engagement party coming up. I was going to wear the same thing to both of them until I realized I could take this super comfy t-shirt dress and dress it up for one of them. Maybe it’s a no-brainer for you to dress up a t-shirt dress (normally I think CASUAL), but it was an epiphany to me, and it’s refreshing to have a new outfit on hand!
