I know we’re all at home more, some of us juggling working from home and tending to young kids, some working from home with kids while needing to still look work-appropriate for video meetings, and some needing to go into work.

Nordstrom shut down in-store shopping for 2 weeks, so they’re running a surprise 25% off sale TODAY online!  Thought I’d share some of my favorite staples for COMFY CLOTHES for work and casual style.  Not only will these pieces make it more comfortable to be at home over the next few weeks (or longer), they’ll also make your life more comfortable in general!

If you’re new here, I’ve shared all of these many times before.  They are my building blocks for an insanely comfortable wardrobe.  So, NOW’S YOUR CHANCE!  Get them while they’re on sale TODAY!

Most of these come in various sizes, like regular, petite, and plus versions.  The plus sizes aren’t always in the same listing, rather are in separate plus size listings, so search for them under the same name on Nordstrom’s site.

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

 

Wit & Wisdom Jeggings – size 4
These are my go-to jeans when I’m not pregnant.  Insanely stretchy and comfy.  They run HUGE, so if you have a lot of extra material everywhere, size down.  I wear size 4 but could also fit size 2, which is insane!

 

Wit & Wisdom Ab-Solution Bootcut Jeans – size 8 for looser thighs
Talked about these a million times.  I’ve said, “They’re so comfy you can do YOGA in them!” and handfuls of you have told me you’ve actually done yoga in them.  Just yesterday someone said regarding being stuck inside for COVID-19, “Glad to have my Wit & Wisdom bootcut jeans so i feel like a person.  But I also literally did yoga with the kids while wearing JEANS.  They are truly that comfy.”

The legs are insanely stretchy and comfy!  But also, the WAISTBAND is stretchy with elastic panels.  Anything by Wit & Wisdom that’s labeled “Ab-Solution” includes the stretchy waistband.

SO good to have for relaxed business casual looks that are COMFY and you can be at home with kids in.

I sized up to 8 in these for them to be looser around my thighs but would have gone size 6 otherwise.  If you’re unsure, order two sizes to try because Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders.

 

Wit & Wisdom Ab-Solution Bermuda Shorts – size 6
Stretchy waistband, stretch in the legs.  Longer length.  I got these last year (I think?) and was SO GLAD to have found them!  Love them!

 

Vince Camuto Ponte Pants – size 4
I shared these during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last July and TONS of PMTers got them and RAVED about them to me after.  They’re THICK, STRETCHY, and SO COMFY.  SUCH good work pants.  Note they’re slim fit, not super duper skinny.  I sized down to 4.

Fantastic for being comfy at work, or if you need to be comfy working at home while tending to little kids!

 

Liverpool Kelsey Trousers – size 2
Several colors.  Also THICK, STRETCHY, and COMFY.  They run very large.  I’m wearing size 2 here.  But again, if you’re unsure, buy multiple sizes since Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders.

 

Zella Live In High Waist Leggings – size M
Fave leggings on sale!  Thick, NOT SEE THROUGH, have compression to suck everything in and hold it in place.  High, wide waistband keeps the leggings up.  Wide waistband flattens and smooths your tummy instead of cutting into you uncomfortable.

These are meant for activewear but are mostly MATTE, so you can wear them for casual outfits too.

 

Zella Studio Lite High Waist Crop Leggings – size M
Cropped version, but also lighter weight and not as thick as previous pair.  Better for warmer weather.  My pair is a bit shiny, so they seem better for athleisure and activewear.

 

Kut From the Kloth Denim Jacket – size M
The comfiest denim jacket I’ve ever tried.  Stretchy, soft, and so easy to wear.  They’re expensive at regular price, so SCOOP THIS UP!  Note they have no side pockets.  Slightly annoying, but I’ll trade that for loads of comfort.  I wear the color Sweet.  Size up—I wear M and it’s still really fitted in the arms.

 

Maxi Dress – size S
I’ve owned this in multiple colors and prints for YEARS.  Super stretchy and comfy material!  Definitely need to wear a strapless bra underneath.  Thankfully, finding the Natori strapless bra removed all the annoyance of wearing strapless bras!

 

Naturalizer Slip-On Sneakers – size 8.5
These come in white, taupe, and cream.  Cushioned footbed and flexible upper.  Great comfy sneaker!  I own these in taupe.

These aren’t in the “comfy staples” group, but since the sale is happening I wanted to mention them anyway!

BlankNYC Suede Moto Jacket – size S
I LOVE this jacket, but it’s definitely a splurge.  However, pretty good for real suede.  Get it on sale!  Classic, timeless moto jacket.  Looks soooo good in person.

 

All In Favor Henley Tunic – size M
My go-to white tunic, one of the most remixed items in my closet.  See ways I’ve worn it HERE.  It’s often on sale, but now it’s even MORE on sale!

 

Caslon Austin Wedge Sneakers
I don’t own the ones linked, but above I’m showing my a nearly identical version from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  I LOVE these wedge sneakers, and I’m hoping the Austin ones that are currently available are the same.  Totally worth trying, especially on sale!

 

Grey Hunter Rain Boots – size 8
I’ve talked about these before and several of you have noted the shorter shaft being great.  I agree!  The Original Talls hit the back of my knees, but these are a little lighter weight and have a sleeker sole.  I wear size 8.  Several colors HERE.
