Casual Holiday Party

Work has been rather full the last two weeks with several full days of meetings and needing to hit some deadlines.  As a behind-the-scenes FYI…since Addie is still not taking a bottle, I bring her along to all day meetings.  I can work from home for the majority of the time, or be away for just a few hours for a meeting, but on the days I have all-day meetings away from home we hire childcare to watch her in the next room, and I nurse her during breaks.  And if we can’t get someone who’s available all day, Benson comes along since he works from home too, and works in another room, separate from me and from Addie + childcare person, and takes over watching Addie once our sitter has to leave.  That has been our lives for many days over the last couple of weeks.  It’s a little complicated, but we are grateful that Benson works from home and that my job is understanding of the nursing situation and accommodating.  (Much better than having her starve all day and having to be up all night feeding!)
Anyway!  My org had a Christmas party last night, so I basically took the outfit from Monday’s post and did the skirt version.  This top has been great for casual outfits that look a little more dressed up.  It’s so easy to throw on, but it looks pretty put together even when paired with jeans.  For the party I was glad for an opportunity to bust out the leather skirt again as an easy way to dress up the look a bit, but tried to keep it in the realm of casual with booties.  And thank goodness for fleece lined tights!
