Gap has tons of casual options that are comfy but fresh and modern. Last month I shared about some of their awesome denim, but one of the main things that always catches my attention is their loungewear and activewear! In order to feel put together in leggings, one key is being intentional about crafting your wardrobe around leggings rather than treating them as an afterthought and haphazardly throwing things on with them. That’s where things go sidewaysâwhen it’s haphazard. That’s true with any type of outfit, but for whatever reason, it seems more noticeable with leggings. So, start by being intentional with the types of tops you have in your wardrobe that you can pair with leggings, and ensure that you have options for different types of activities and weather. That way, you can quickly (and even haphazardly) throw something on with your leggings, but since you took the time to intentionally fill your wardrobe with cute tops that work with leggings, you won’t look haphazard. Make sense? đ So, we’ll talk through a few options!

1. Long Sleeve Activewear Top
First up is a long sleeve activewear top. These are great for activities like walking around the neighborhood, a light hike, attending a kid’s sporting event, or even just to wear as part of a sportier, athleisure outfit to run errands.
This particular tee is soooo soft. It’s lightweight, breathable, and really comfy, and it has moisture wicking to help move sweat away! I also really like the venting slits on the side, which prevents the top from becoming a wide tent over my hips. đđđœ This top is REALLY comfy and a very easy piece to throw on with leggings and look cute and sporty. Also, if you’re in the market for leggings, I really like these High Rise Blackout 7/8 Side Pocket leggings! They are very smooth, stretchy, and SOFT! I also really like that the material feels like it breathes a bit instead of suffocating you, like some other legging do. Plus, these offer a flattering fit, a nice 7/8 length, and a wide waistband to flatten out a midsection. They also have upright POCKETS, which I looove on leggings! These don’t have a ton of compression, so if you were hoping for a pair that lets you breathe a little while still feeling supported, these are great! They are so, so comfy! 2. Cozy Fleece
When it gets chillier, make sure you have another option you can throw on that keeps you warm but still looks stylish. I have been waiting to tell you about this fleece pullover!! I LOVE THIS THING! It is soooo soft, fuzzy, and cozy while being really lightweight! My family and I felt under the weather one weekend, so I bundled up in this and felt like I was wrapped in a cozy, snuggly blanket all day! đ„° It looks great with jeans or leggings, so it’s a nice versatile option. It is 26.5″ long in the back in size S. That is long enough to cover my rear in leggings, but be sure to check if that’s long enough for yourself. 3. Stylish Sweatshirt
Is there such a thing as a stylish sweatshirt? Oh yes, my friends, there is! I absolutely LOVE this one. Its raw hem, crop length, and puff sleeve details make me feel instantly cool when I throw it on! It’s a fun deviation from a standard sweatshirt that adds style immediately. One heads up is that it has a slightly boxy and oversized cut, so I personally like to pair it with something fitted on the bottom, like leggings or skinny jeans. It comes in 2 solid colors as well as 2 cuuuute leopard prints. I own it in gray and the tan leopard print, which several of you commented on in my IG stories last week! See them all HERE. This sweatshirt pairs really well with jeans for a cute, casual outfit, and it’s very cute for lounging at home with leggings! While you can definitely wear it with standard activewear leggings, here I’m wearing jersey knit leggings instead. They feel more like everyday leggings that you’d either lounge in or could pair with a tunic sweater or sweatshirt. These also have a nice wide waistband to flatten out a midsection. BTW, some of you have been asking for leggings that don’t have thick stitching down the sides to wear with tunic sweaters, and these fit the bill! They are fairly long on me, so I rolled them up inward several inches. I really, really like these leggings! They come in black and charcoal gray. Find them HERE. I wear size S.
