Sooooo, while I have every intention of pairing this dress with all of my colorful cardigans and necklaces, I’m trying to get over my fear of all neutral outfits with this one. It’s dumb, but I really do feel very self-conscious about posting outfits that lack color. Plus, I wanted to wear my cargo vest.
For those of you who are newer to the blog, I used to think vests were dumb, assuming that the lack of sleeves to keep you warm would be pointless. Little did I know that a cargo/army/utility vest is an incredibly versatile completer piece and it can go with almost anything. Dresses, jeans, plain or patterned tees and tanks, errythang. Hrmm…maybe a cargo vest recap is in order?
Anyway, here’s a bunch of options! I always get asked about this thing and for a while options were limited and it sold out like hotcakes. I guess other stores finally caught on because this season there are tons and tons of affordable options. Almost everything is from Forever 21, Kohl’s, or JCPenney except for #8, from my beloved new favorite store.
