Business Casual Interviews

This is definitely one of those outfits where I look at the photos and I’m like, “I swear I remember it looking better in person…”  Ah well.  Such is life, and it’s decent enough so I’m posting it anyway.
Also, this outfit picture is from a month ago!  Back in early February we interviewed candidates who applied to work for our organization, so I got to dress business casual for the week.  About 1.5 years ago (just happened to be around the time I became a mom) my job role changed such that I have less meetings to dress up for than before.  That, combined with spending my “off” time with a young child, means that my business casual attire is sorely lacking–not that it was robust to begin with!  I think I’ve defaulted to these tan pants with a navy top for the past handful of times I’ve needed to do business casual.  Normally, I’m of the mindset “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” but even I’m tired of the combo.  I think it’s time I get a proper pair of basic trousers!  However, trouser shopping is THE WORST and I feel no immediacy to find a pair, so don’t be surprised if you find me in these pants with a navy top the next time I need to do business casual again.
At least there are lots of cute navy tops below, haha.  ðŸ™‚  Everything is under $50 except Option 3 from Loft–wait for a sale!
