Boyfriend Jeans Dressed Up and Down

One of my most worn pieces this spring has quickly become boyfriend jeans.  They’re comfortable and relaxed, which is just how I like to feel when it’s sunny outside and the air is fresh!

Boyfriend jeans often get defaulted to super duper casual.  Like, throw on a plain v-neck tee and flip flops or sneakers kind of casual.  But they’re much more versatile than that!  Maybe someday I’ll show all the ways you can wear boyfriend jeans (see mine so far HERE) but today I edited it down to just two.  Or else things were gonna get crazy with all the options and I’d never get the post up!

Thanks to one of one of the big Old Navy sales I scored these jeans for $16 and haven’t looked back.  (BTW, they were super out of stock last week but since then a few sizes have come back in.)  I personally love the distressing because it adds a little texture to the outfits, but there’s also a pair of non-distressed ones HERE in several washes.  I’m normally size 6/8 for jeans, and for the distressed jeans I sized down a lot and am wearing 4.  For the non-distressed pair the 6 fit perfectly.

Casual and Relaxed
The first look has more or less been my momiform ever since I got these jeans.  I prefer it to a plain tee, even though a graphic tee is a tee just the same.  Then, just so I can feel somewhat pulled together I add a tiny necklace, a bracelet, a watch, and sandals that look like I’m kind of trying.  Then I head to Target.  Because that’s what moms do, right?  (And the rest of the population, if you know what’s good for ya. 😉 )

Dressy Casual
You may have noticed I’m a huge fan of dressy casual.  I like dressing up, but then I get worried about being overdressed and feel uncomfortable.  I know, I know, totally my own issues.  But it’s okay because dressy casual is the perfect medium, and boyfriend jeans are great for that!

I paired the boyfriend jeans with a girly blouse and a blazer, then added a sleek pair of heels to finish off the look.  Great for a date or going out with friends!
