Black, White, Brown

Our plans this weekend to be poolside were thwarted by a stomach bug (not me for once, thankfully) and days that stayed covered in clouds.  Instead we stayed home, hung out with friends, and did a TON of errands and cleaned up random things that have been piling up in the house for a long time.  Call me weird, but taking care of business like that is nearly just as good as lounging around a pool to me.  Maybe even better…because then I can neurotically check things off my to-do list, and that’s one of my favorite things!
I finally decided on some new summer sandals, and you’re looking at ’em.  I didn’t think sandals with a thick strap across the ankle would look good on me since they usually make my calves look larger as well as shorten my leg line.  BUT, this pair from Target hits below my ankles and blends in with my skin and somehow managed to work out quite nicely.  Find new summer sandals–another thing to check off my to-do list.  Neuroticism feels so good!

I totally understand the sick guilty pleasure of checking things off the list! I love it too! I've been keeping myself a list each week in my iPhone notes and using the little check mark emoji icon to mark them off, ha 🙂 I know there are list apps but I prefer this way.

28 weeks! Almost time for baby countdown: 10, 9, 8…. I have a neighbor that would ask me how far along I was every time he saw me. At one point I told him every Monday was an extra week. Every Monday from week 30 and on he would see me and be like: 8 to go!, 7 to go!, etc.. I thought it was cute he remembered. 🙂

Anyways. Going to try this outfit combo today. I just got me a pair of white jeans over the weekend. Yipee! I also got me a pair of nude color gladiator sandals, and a brown belt (yeah, I had zero basics, I know). Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂

Cute sandals! I have a similar pair and I wear them all the time. And YAY for tote #4 because I wanted the one last year but it sold out before I snagged it.

We did the same thing this weekend, just cleaned up around the house. We did have some friends over and went swimming at our pool. There was no way I was going to attempt to fight the crowds at the beach. Great new sandals!

Very pretty outfit. Sometimes it's a must to just hunker down and get things done. Although lying by the beach would be really nice right now.

Bummer that you had sickness floating around your house this past weekend 🙁 Yucky. I totally get your love of checking things off your list and getting stuff done, though! We're moving in a week and a half, and so my to-do list is big, but I'm checking things off of it left and right! Best feeling everrrr!
