Nordstrom May Triple Points Faves + $100, $75, $50 GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY!

You guys, the stars have aligned!  Nordstrom reached out to me to collaborate to show some of their spring apparel, so of course I was like YES, twist my arm.   Even better, there happens to be a Triple Points period going on starting today, May 3rd until May 7th!  But best of all, my birthday was last week, and since I had just come back from a conference I wasn’t able to do anything on the blog for it.  Call me strange, but I love giving stuff away on my birthday, so along with this collaboration post I’m giving away THREE gift cards to Nordstrom ($100, $75, and $50) that you can use during this triple points period!  Enter the giveaway through the widget at the very bottom of this post.
Since there have been a lot of new readers lately, I’m going to share in two categories: 1) what I’m currently loving/eyeing, and 2) my tried and true favorites for the new readers.

  • If you’re a new reader, definitely check out category #2!  They are the best of the best and many of my MUST HAVE items.
  • If you’ve been following PMT for a while, skim through category #2.  Most should be familiar but there are a few new ones there!

Currently Eyeing
There are SO many cute things!  In my cart are the striped cold shoulder top (HERE), leopard print wedges (HERE) though very expensive, the gold bib necklace (HERE), and a couple of the sunglasses.  All the gingham stuff is really cute too!  Also notable are the stud earrings which are under $10 for a pack of 2 (HERE).

Scroll through the widgets below and shop by clicking on an item!  If you are in Bloglovin’ and cannot see the widgets, try clicking out of the Bloglovin’ frame HERE.

My Tried and True Favorites
For all newer readers: I give TONS of info about each piece below.  They are all items I own and absolutely totally love.

For long time readers: Options 12, 14, and 17 below are first-time appearances on any of my favorites lists.

For sizing reference, I’m 5’6″ with a  short torso and normally size S/M or 6/8.  I’m normally size 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1.  Reversible Tote (HERE)
Carries my heavy laptop and water bottle.  The design is sleek and simple and goes with basically everything.  It’s reversible, so you get 2 bags in 1 and there are several different color combos. See them all HERE.  See it in my outfit pics HERE.
2.  Heather Grey Tee (HERE–I wear size S)

This is my favorite grey tee because of loose but fitted drape and the heather grey creates more visual interest so you don’t have to try as hard to make a plain tee interesting.  I have it in olive too!

One note, some people have said this tee developed holes fairly easily.  This has not happened to me, and I’ve had it for a year.  But, the tee is on the thinner side so I could see how that’d happen for others.  See it on me HERE.  Find the tee in tons of colors HERE.

I wear this in size S and it’s still a loose fit.

3.  Cutout Block Heel (HERE–I wear 8.5)
SO cute and surprisingly comfortable!  The upper is very flexible and doesn’t stiffly rub against your feet.  While the footbed doesn’t have cushion, something about the shoe still makes it easy to walk in.  I’ve done errands in these–my true test of a comfortable shoe–and have been totally fine.  Several PMT readers have said they’ve walked several MILES in them at lunchtime out with coworkers and these did not hurt their feet.  Soooo, I don’t want to oversell them, but I’m just reporting what’s happened.  You should at least TRY them!

Find them HERE.  See them on me HERE.

4. Bootcut Jeans (HERE–I wear size 8)
SOFT AND STRETCHY!  Even the waistband has elastic in it, even though it also has a button fly closure.  WHUT?  Yes!  I’ve said over and over that they rival yoga pants, and MANY PMT readers have taken me up on that and said it’s true as well.  Try them!

They come in regular and petite.  Find them HERE.  See them on me HERE.

5.  Blush Tassel Bag (HERE)
I totally love it and have been using it soooo much this spring.  It instantly makes my outfits a little fresher and more current, plus it’s adorable.  Comes in white and black too.  Find it HERE.  See it on me HERE.

6.  Solid V-Neck Blouses (HERE–I’m size M)
These drape so nicely, and you can throw them on quickly with jeans and a short necklace or pendant and still look pulled together while being comfy in a loosely fitting blouse.  They are fairly long, so I always do a front-tuck and blouse it out as much as I can.  Because they drape really well, they look good tucked and bloused out, laying flat against you instead of poofing out like other tops might do.

Even though they’re oversized I still wear M because that’s what fits my shoulders best.  Sizing down to S looked alright except they pulled around my shoulders.

Washing instructions say “dry clean” but I always machine or hand wash (have done both) and air dry.  Many have said they’ve machine washed and machine dried and these still look new for them!

There is a shorter version that’s very similar HERE.  Find the long ones HERE.  See the white one on me HERE and blush on me HERE.

7.  Cork Wedge (HERE–I’m size 8.5)
I don’t have this exact wedge, but I have the version from last year which I LOVE.  I tried the version shown above and it’s equally as good!  They are pretty darn expensive, but the sole is cork, which makes it very lightweight, flexible, and SO comfortable despite having a heel.  I can walk all day in my older version, and I do not hesitate at all to run errands in them, walking all around Target, Trader Joe’s, and Costco WITH A TODDLER.

The one downside is that they run a bit narrow.  I don’t have narrow feet, rather regular shoes are often too narrow for me, so if you never have my problem, these should be fine for you.

I wear size 8.5.  See the old version on me HERE.  Find the pair shown above HERE.

8.  Beauty Blender + Cleaner (HERE–10% off!)
Tons and tons of people love how this flawlessly applies liquid foundation.  You can get them in different sizes, and with or without the cleanser.  I finally got one during last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have been using it every single day since.  This set is currently ON SALE HERE!

9.  Tan Cutout Crossbody Bag (HERE)
Such a good bag for spring, but especially for summer!  If you like compliments, you should consider getting this bag.  ðŸ˜›  Comes in white too.  See it on me HERE.  Find it HERE.

10.  Leggings (HERE–I’m size M)
We’re moving out of leggings season, but these need to be noted anyway!  These have a high waistband, which I thought I would absolutely hate.  Turns out I LOVE it.  It helps the leggings stay up, it keeps your tummy in place, and really it’s just more comfortable than a thinner waistband that could dig into your stomach.  These are not see-through and they’re fairly thick, so I feel very pretty secure in them.  They’re technically workout leggings, but tons of people wear them as everyday leggings.  They have a seam on the side, but it’s black and blends in enough for me.  Thought I should note it though since some people have asked in the past.

See them on me HERE.  Find them HERE.

11.  Maxi Dress (HERE–I’m size S)
Closet staple of mine, for sure.  This is soft and stretchy, and the waistband has elastic.  Straps are adjustable.  I have this in black and a blue ikat pattern and have to try really, really hard to resist all the other colors and patterns they rotate in year round.  There’s always a new color popping up, so check back frequently.

See the black one on me HERE.  Blue ikat HERE.  Find all current colors and prints HERE.

12.  Striped Tee (HERE–I’m size S)
This is a recent purchase, but it’s the same brand as the grey tee I showed earlier.  I fell in love with it when Kilee from One Little Momma wore it with a mustard skirt.  I wore it with jeans and white sneakers yesterday.  I’m looking forward to wearing it with white jeans and wedges.  You could also wear it with a floral skirt for pattern mixing.  It’s really versatile and cute!

I haven’t washed it yet, but I’m trusting that it’s the same as my grey tee.  This is a bit thicker than the grey tee, so I’m assuming the problems with small holes won’t be as prevalent, but I can’t say for sure.

See it on me HERE.  Find it HERE.

13.  Ankle Boots (HERE–I’m size 9)
If you like wearing booties in the spring and summer, these are really lightweight and easy to walk in!  See them on me HERE.  Find them HERE.

14.  Bra (HERE)
I know bra preferences are very, very dependent on a lot of things, but I’ve hated all bras I’ve tried, and this Natori one has been a game changer.  I haven’t paid this much for bras before (and perhaps that is part of the problem? haha) but I finally accepted that it’s something I wear everyday, so I might as well pay for an awesome one!

The Nordstrom associate brought this to me, and while it was awesome, I asked to try one that was less expensive.  She brought a Calvin Klein one that was around $42, and to me the difference between CK and the Natori bra was night and day.  I knew immediately that the Natori bra was worth the money.

Not all the Natori bras I’ve tried have been the same level of comfort, but this one was fantastic for me!  Find it HERE.

15.  Leopard Clutch (HERE)
Good leopard clutches seem to be hard to find at decent prices, and this print is gorgeous.  One note is that the backside is solid black, not printed.  It’s made of calf hair with a zipper opening.  See me with it HERE.  Find it HERE.

16.  Eyeshadow Palette (HERE–10% off!)
This shadow is really versatile and goes on nice and smooth.  I’ve been using it for a year and a half and have loved it!

17.  Twist Front Tee (HERE–I’m size S)
I haven’t posted this on the blog yet, but I’ve worn it plenty.  It comes in several colors and fits very loosely.  The twist front makes a plain tee more special!

18.  Black Trousers (HERE–I’m size 8)
Didn’t know trousers could be this comfy!  They’re stretchy, but fairly thick to hide lumps, and hold shape all day.  They seriously might as well be yoga pants.  The waistband has some elastic and a side zipper.  Heads up, it has no pockets, but I like that because I tend to have problems with pockets flaring out due to the curve of my hips.  If you tend to have the same problems check these out!

See them on me HERE.  Find them HERE.
