All the Pretty, Sparkly Things

Is it possible to get an elegant dress that is super comfortable to wear? Apparently, yes. This dress is a beautiful lace, but has some stretch, so I can go to a fancy shindig (still deciding between the Christmas Eve service at our church or an upcoming wedding) and still be comfy.  *praise hands emoji*

This is one of many, SO.MANY. cute, unique, fun dresses that ModCloth has for all different occasions.  Whether you’re looking for a unique, casual day dress or one for a fancier occasion like a wedding, Christmas Eve service, or New Year’s Eve party, ModCloth will have something.

The gold floral lace detailing is elegant, and everything below the waist is forgiving, which makes it easy to wear.  It also has a little bit of stretch.  I’m normally size 6 on top, 6/8 on bottom, and knowing that the bottom half isn’t fitted I chose a size according to my top half.  Size 6 was perfect.  It’s fully lined, and given the weight and color of the material I don’t think you’d need to wear a slip under this.  Lastly, it’s machine washable, which is surprising given that it’s lace.  That said, I’ll probably still hand wash it to be safe.

It’s a beautiful dress that can be worn for a lot of different occasions.  In today’s look I paired it with a cardigan, but you know I would totally pair it with a black faux leather jacket too!  I’m a huge fan of how leather toughens up lace.
