Can we talk about shoes today? I once read in People StyleWatch an article analyzing how Charlize Theron’s signature style was an outfit of basics topped off with a strong shoe. That stuck with me, how a shoe can make all the difference. But if you haven’t noticed by my large tan shoe collection, I haven’t quite adopted that mindset yet.
My dear friend Kemi is an Avon rep and offered to send me an item to feature here, so to experiment with the “strong shoe” idea, I chose these gladiator sandals. (And yes, Avon sells clothes, not just makeup!) I was hesitant, though, not knowing if I could pull them off or if they’d even fit. I winced when I put them on, immediately followed by me shouting at to B, “HOLY CRAP! These are freaking comfortable!” And three more times after that until he figured out how to tune me out. I also LOVE how much personality they add to a normal outfit! They took my old top and jeans outfit up a few notches and made it feel fresh. AND they’re on sale for $19.99 for an “end of season sale,” though I will easily transition them into fall. I think I’m in love, and maybe this will give you guys a little break from all my tan shoes bahaha. 🙂
