Today I thought I’d share a few ways to wear a navy printed top! This top was one of your most purchased pieces in 2019, and it works well for so many different settings. You can style it in casual outfits with jeans or dress it up for work with slacks or a skirt. I’ll show ya! If floral isn’t your thing, this remix works for lists of different types of prints. The easiest alternative would be any printed top with a navy or blue-ish base and white print. Let’s see some ways you can wear it!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 inc clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Jeans + Oatmeal Cardigan + Booties or Flats
Pairing it with dark wash jeans is easy. But then, to “lift” the navy-on-navy and help it pop a bit more, I lightened the outfit with an oatmeal colored cardigan. White cardigan or blazer would work, too. Top it off with taupe boots or nude flats!
My oatmeal cardigan is old, but there are several good ones available this season. Try one of these: ONE // TWO // THREE.

Navy Pants + Colored Shoes
Trade dark jeans for navy pants for a work-appropriate look. Make it pop with colored shoes! This outfit was from the fall, so the maroon pumps worked great. I’d also wear this with my yellow flats from Amazon. If you don’t want to wear colorful shoes, nude or cognac brown pumps work too.

Light Blue Pants + Nude Pumps
Change up navy to this periwinkle blue. I LOVE the color palette here! These paper bag waist pants are still available this year, and for only around $26 depending on size and color. The fabric does not feel like high quality—definitely feels synthetic haha!—but they are actually quite comfy. They’re smooth, not itchy at all, and are extremely stretchy. The waistband is also elastic. They come in TONS of colors which you can check out HERE!

White Jeans + Light Wash Denim Jacket + Pops of Color
Here’s a springy look for a sunny day with white jeans, a light wash denim jacket, and pops of yellow. You know I LOVE pairing yellow blue. Okay, you know I love pairing yellow with almost anything. 😜 But yellow is especially great with blue since they are opposite each other on the color wheel!
Here I’m using my trusty, inexpensive Amazon flats. They are a fantastic inexpensive option, as their upper is more comfortable and flexible than comparably priced options at Old Navy and Target. The latter usually creases like cardboard, but these Amazon ones don’t. The footbed is totally flat, but I wouldn’t expect more from inexpensive shoes. I have them in 3 colors. See all colors HERE. Note they are sliiightly wider than average, so if you have narrow feet they may not work for you.
I’m bookending the look with my yellow Nickel & Suede lightweight leather earrings. If you wanna know why I love these things, read about them in my Must-Have Accessories post. TLDR: They’re a statement earring that is lightweight and dang comfy—feels like you’re not wearing anything!
Freshen up the look with white jeans and a light wash denim jacket. This is the uber comfy Kut From the Kloth denim jacket. It’s expensive, but it’s soft, stretchy, lightweight, and extremely comfortable! Comes in several washes HERE. I’m wearing Sweet in size M—runs small.

White Skirt + Nude Shoes
Here’s a look with a white skirt and nude pumps. You can wear it to work, or if you want to wear it in more of a dressy casual look, swap the pumps for open toe wedges!

Colored Pants + Nude Pumps
Lastly, you could do a color blast with bright red pants! These are the pixie pants from Old Navy which are not exactly the best quality but are a good option on the inexpensive end, especially if you want to add a lot of variety to your work bottoms. They come in lots of colors and prints. Find the latest ones HERE.

Can you guess my favorite way to wear this top? White jeans and YELLOW accessories takes the cake, of course! 😄 But, I do love this top the other ways too! Do you have a favorite?
