Okay, onto the closet staples and outfits!  I’m sharing 6 outfits because I couldn’t help myself!  There are SO MANY WAYS to style these pieces.  That’s the great thing about staples–they’re SUPER versatile!

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

Outfits With Casual Fall Staples

Striped Tee + Cardigan + Jeans + Booties
First up, pair a striped tee with an oversized cardigan and booties.  This is one of my go-to fall looks.  Super comfy, yet put-together!

This cardigan is the one I wear all the time in different colors from different years.  These are great for effortless casual style.  Available in 5 colors this year.  I LOVE this lighter olive green one!  I’m wearing XS, they run large.  See them HERE.

A striped tee is a great wardrobe staple, and this particular one is super soft and stretchy.  It’s more fitted, which can be harder to wear depending on your body shape.  But, that makes it GREAT for tucking into high waisted pants.  And of course, it can be worn with jeans like I did here.

These are my favorite super stretchy Wit & Wisdom jeans with the elastic waistband, which is a GAME CHANGER.  Now’s your chance to grab them on sale!  They run large. These booties are a fantastic closet staple in a great cognac color.  Plus, they’re WATERPROOF!  Boom.  The heel is low and easy to walk in, and there’s a tiny bit of cushion in the footbed, though I’d put in an insert for more.  They come in 4 colors HERE.

Leggings + Tee + Slip On Sneakers + (Jacket)
Next up is an athleisure look look with a t-shirt, jacket, leggings, and sneakers.  This is the same tee as my favorite white tee, but in an awesome leopard print!  The outfit would work with either, though.

Here, I’m wearing Zella Studio 7/8 Pocket leggings.  These are a bit different than my go-to Zella Live-In leggings that I always talk about.  The Studio leggings are thinner and lighter weight, which is great for warmer weather.  Very comfy!  These also have POCKETS!  I LOVE that the pockets are not on the thighs.  Instead, the pockets are hidden up by the hips, so they don’t add bulk to my thighs.  The other major difference between Studio and Live-In leggings is that my Live-In pair is more matte.  They’re both GREAT though.  I just love Zella leggings, period!  I wear them in size M.

For shoes, I went with these comfy slip-on sneakers.  They’ve got a cushioned footbed and soft upper.  They’d be great at full price, but they’re especially great on sale!  They come in black, a textured grey version, and a perforated bone suede color.  See them HERE.

Lastly, this jacket is one of my favorites from this sale!  It’s got a COZY fleece lining, but it’s lightweight, which is great for the milder fall and winter where I live.  It’s got a casual, sporty vibe that pairs perfectly with all the t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sneakers I’ll be wearing this fall.  It comes in olive and black, and you’d better believe I got both!  I wear size S.  See them HERE.

Pullover Fleece + Striped Tee + Jeans + Booties
Last is the tried and true, PMT fave twist fleece!  This feels like a very thin, cozy fleece and has a cute twist detail at the bottom to elevate it from a boring basic.  You can wear these without anything underneath, or you can wear a striped tee underneath and let it peek out from below for a cute layered look.  The fitted Halogen striped tee is perfect for this!

Outfits With Fall Work Staples

Here are some ways to style these pieces.  You can wear all of these tops with slacks for work, and you can dress them all down with jeans!

Striped Tee + Blazer + Jeans + Loafers
This knit blazer feels like a sweatshirt (!!), making it another PMT tried and true fave through out the years!  It looks put-together but is super comfy and easy to wear all day. It comes in 7 colors HERE.

I topped off the outfit with leopard print loafers for a little twist.  Leopard print adds a fun pop that elevates any outfit.  These loafers are a fan favorite, and they’re great if you like a classic, preppier vibe!  They don’t have any cushion in the footbed, but the upper is fairly flexible.  Great for under $40 on sale!  I wear size 9.

VC rumple satin blouse + Halogen tie waist pants
A black blouse like this is a fantastic work staple, and this particular one is COMFY! It’s got an amazing satiny feel, and it’s lightweight to keep you comfy while looking super polished and chic.  It’s available in 9 colors on sale, so scoop up as many as you can HERE!  These are SUCH a great workwear staple.  There’s also a long sleeve version in the same material HERE in 6 colors.

Tie waist pants like these are a great deviation from standard work pants that will help mix up your work looks.  The material is nice and thick, and the high waist and belt add such cute details.  Available in black, burnt orange, and dark green HERE.  I wear size 6.

Halogen gathered shoulder sweater + KUT black pants
Last, never underestimate the power of a good, basic pullover sweater for work.  However, this sweater is not totally basic.  I actually adore this sweater!  It’s got a slight puff or gathering at the shoulders, 3/4 sleeves, and a great fit, which all combine to make it a REALLY cute basic sweater.  It’s on the thinner side, which is great for the fall transition and warmer parts of fall.  It goes well with slacks for work and jeans for an elevated casual outfit.  It’s also easy to tuck into skirts because it’s not that thick.  Available in 5 colors HERE.  I wear size S.

These Kut From the Kloth pants are very thick and very stretchy.  They’re a classic straight leg cut that still fits close to the body for a flattering fit.  I wear them in size 4.  They run big!
