6 Instagram Outfits That Haven’t Made the Blog Yet

I said recently that I’ve been posting outfits on Instagram sooner than here, and sometimes they might never even make it to the blog.  For those of you who don’t follow along on Instagram (@puttingmetogether), here are 6 outfits to catch up on!

It’s so fun to have a bright sweater in the winter!  This is the infamous blanket scarf from the last couple of winters.  When I asked for it for Christmas a couple of years ago, I honestly did not know it was as popular or was going to be as popular as it turned out to be.  I also didn’t know it was going to be as enormous as a blanket, nor did I even knew “blanket scarves” were a thing.  (Clearly I’m not very hip, haha!)  I don’t live in a cold climate, so unfortunately a blanket scarf is often too hot for me.  But the day I wore this was on the colder side, and instead of needing to wear a jacket, the blanket scarf kept me warm enough.  Glad I was able to put it to use!
There are two similar options for the scarf, one is nearly identical from Etsy, and one is from Target (HERE) which is not as big as the ginormous blanket scarves you see around.  Both are under $12!

When I wrote the post on choosing the right pair of ankle boots (HERE) I had several questions asking about the booties that dip in the front.  Mine are from Target and the black pair in the outfit above are from Kohl’s, both several years ago, but a fairly affordable option $40 is HERE in 4 colors, including grey and black.  There are also links to several more expensive options through out all of these outfit posts.

I loved wearing red with burgundy!  I repeated this outfit several times after wearing it initially, and seeing it now makes me want to go wear it again.  I’m really digging the thicker sweater cardigans this season, whereas in the past I used to wear my thin cardigans in the winter and just layered more under them.

Cardigan: Nordstrom (similar)

This herringbone vest has been around for a while, but (I think) last year it was all over the internet.  As far as I understand, the original is from J.Crew Factory, which is now sold out.  Some of those sites that have deals for just a couple of days, like Groopdealz or Jane, often have these lookalike vests.  Or there’s a similar Target version HERE, though it doesn’t have the black trim.
Shop for the Look:
Top: c/o White Plum (exact, I think…)
Vest: Groopdealz (similar)
Jeans: Nordstrom (exact)
Shoes: Target (similarsimilar)
Necklace: Nordstrom
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington (exact–15% off until Dec 31 with code HOLIDAYAUDREY)
Super simple outfit–just a sweater and some jeans.  But, a statement necklace helps pull it together!

Sweater: c/o ModCloth (exact)

Shoes: Clarks c/o Zappos (exact)
Necklace: c/o That’s Mine Boutique (exact)

Another super simple outfit, this time pulled together by a scarf.  This was an outfit full of neutrals that I wore this past Sunday for running errands and hanging out with the family.  I have absolutely loved this top.  It’s a striped top, but the peplum gives it a little something extra.  It also means the top hangs loosely and more comfortably.  It’s sold out now, but there’s a similar one at Gray Monroe called the “Collier Top.”  The “Carter Top” is very similar to this but I think the hem starts higher, so I’d wear that one more for layering and less on its own.  It would depend on your body type though.

Also, I’ve owned this reversible tote for a year and a half (see it in a million outfits HERE), but it has only been in the last couple of weeks that I’ve FINALLY reversed it and used the black side instead of the cognac side.  It’s getting crazy up in here!!  ðŸ˜›
