SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
1. Work Blouses
Looking good at work doesn’t have to be expensive. Nordstrom Rack has tons of great blouses that you can wear to work and out for lunch with friends. A lot of their pieces drape well, and truly any piece with a fantastic drape instantly looks stylish.
The blouse I’m wearing here is flowy instead of stiff, so it moves well with you, and it floats away from your body for a more comfortable fit, without being shapeless. It also has lots of details like buttons and pleats at the neckline, which create an elevated look. 2. Comfortable, Stretchy Work Pants
Comfortable work pants are a MUST, and while super comfortable work pants can typically cost a pretty penny, Nordstrom Rack has plenty, starting at just $12.49!
The pants I’m wearing here are very lightweight with stretch. The fabric has movement, so instead of having to deal with stiff work pants all day, these more comfortably move with you. On top of that, the kick flare silhouette is a refreshing update from standard straight or skinny work pants—it adds a little fun to your spring workwear! You can find these pants HERE. If you are in need of a standard skinny work pant, I shared one a while ago that is super, superrrr comfy, which you can find HERE. They are a medium thickness, and they’re really soft, VERY stretchy, and overall just really comfortable! You can see them on me HERE (last outfit, with the black pants). I wear size S.
3. Comfortable Jeans
Break out allll of the denim cuts this spring, but no matter what, they need to be COMFY! Comfortable jeans are another MUST, and Nordstrom Rack carries some of the best brands for comfortable denim for a lot less!
The jeans I’m wearing above are by Democracy, which I believe is the sister brand to my beloved Wit & Wisdom. This pair is GREAT! They are really, really stretchy and have the awesome stretchy waistband with elastic so that you can sit and move around (and eat to your heart’s content!) and still be comfortable! The denim is a bit thicker than a lot of the thinner pairs of stretchy denim, so it feels great and holds you more securely, even though it’s totally stretchy. This is technically a skinny cut and is more fitted at the thighs and calves. But the bottom of the leg reads like a slim straight jean. So, if you have been having a hard time feeling shapeless in traditional straight leg jeans but want to go one step away from skinnies, a cut like this is GREAT to help with the transition. Plus, they’re really comfortable! Oh, and they’re only $44.97 which is like 40% less than all the jeans I often wear that feel just like these! Find them HERE. I’m wearing size 4.

4. Athleisure
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being in leggings and a sweatshirt—just make sure you’re wearing updated, stylish leggings and sweatshirts! 😊
This sweatshirt is a great example of a piece that looks intentional and stylish. The cowl neck and peplum hem add visual interest, and the black drawstring adds contrast. Plus, it hangs well, which is really important in how stylish something looks, and it’s REALLY comfy! It’s soft and fuzzy, it’s leggings-friendly, and, it’s only $26.97!! 5. Good Shoes!
When shopping for good quality shoes, you should always check Nordstrom Rack!
These shoes are made by Dr. Scholl’s, which is one of my go-to brands for slip-on sneakers. These have a soft and fairly flexible upper and some cushioning in the footbed. I like that they have a pebbled texture to add a little more visual interest. And, you can get them for 40% less at Nordstrom Rack than at other retailers!! Find them in 2 colors, HERE. I’m wearing size 8.5.
Nordstrom Rack also carries shoes from tons of great brands for much less. Always, always, ALWAYS look at Nordstrom Rack when you’re shoe shopping and want to get great shoes while saving big!
BTW, these jeans are by NYDJ, and they are soooooo comfortable. They’re INCREDIBLY soft with lots and lots of stretch. Seriously so comfy! And while these are normally $119, they’re available at Nordstrom rack for only $39.97! Unfortunately, sizes are super limited, but if they’re available in your size, they’re totally worth giving a try. So, so comfy! Find them HERE. I’m wearing size 6.
