I’ve got some more summer outfit inspiration for ya with five outfits from the Summer Outfit Guide! Linen Pants + Solid Tank Top + Printed Sandals
Last summer I (finally) learned to appreciate how awesome linen pants are. They are a great, lightweight option when you don’t want to or can’t wear shorts or dresses. My pants are from Old Navy last year and no longer available, but there’s a super similar pair from Target HERE!
This outfit is simple with my COMFY, stretchy ModCloth tank. I’ve been talking about these for years, but if you’re newer around here, I love them! They’re so comfy and stretchy, they’re long and tunic length so you can wear them with leggings, but they’re also great with a partial front-tuck or a knot like I did above. I also love them because they’re loose around the midsection, but fitted around the bust, and the latter helps them tuck into skirts nicely without making you lose your shape too much. Colored Dress + White or Metallic Accessories
A dress is such an easy piece to throw on in the summer. I love pairing a colorful dress with white or metallic accessories to make it pop. There are soooo many colors to choose from, and white or metallic accessories work with basically any!

White Shorts + Printed Top
I love how crisp outfits are with white shorts! I know a lot of people are hesitant about getting white shorts dirty, but there are pairs out there that are treated with stuff that makes them less prone to stains. Additionally, the texture and material of the shorts matters. If they are super smooth, they might be more prone to stains versus a pair that has a little texture. The pair I’m wearing above is old and not available, but I recently reviewed a pair from Target with the “stay clean” fabric. They have a bit of stretch through out the leg and are under $18. Top w/ Special Details + Denim Shorts
In a recent post called Types of Clothes to Build a Summer Wardrobe You Won’t Get Sick Of I mentioned the importance of solid tops that have special details. Special details elevate a top a notch above a plain, basic tee. And “special details” doesn’t have to mean fancy. This top is a great example. It’s super casual and comfy, but the waffle texture, buttons, and tie at the bottom are details that kick it up from a basic t-shirt. Skirt + Neutral Tank Top
Last up is a skirt outfit! I love wearing skirts in the summer, especially printed ones. I most often pair them with those comfy ModCloth tanks I mentioned in Outfit #1, and above is that same tank in navy. So easy to do!
You can either tuck the top into the skirt, or if you hate tucking stuff in, knot the top over the skirt. Gather the material in the back and fold it up inward so that it’s not hanging out awkwardly. Then pull as much of it as you can to the front and either do a knot on the side or right in the middle. Play around and see what you like best!
