A few months ago in the fall, I talked about this navy sweater and showed 4 ways to wear it. Today I’m showing a few more outfits with a navy sweater, but this time for spring!
I LOVE this sweater. It is a very basic piece, and honestly I would have passed it up in the store for being boring. Yet, its simplicity is what makes it so, SO versatile!
This sweater is a medium weight and is soft and comfortable to wear. It is somewhat fitted, which makes it great for layering under blazers as well as tucking into skirts while still being flattering. I tend to own looser pullovers and wear them for casual outfits with jeans, so it’s nice to have a few sweaters that you can tuck into skirts or wear under blazers for more tailored looks. Especially great for business casual outfits!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ with a short torso and usually size S/M or 6 in clothes, but most often size M in ModCloth clothes. I wear this sweater in size M, and it is fitted but has stretch. It comes in 12 colors, which is kind of nuts, but it’s a great sweater so YAYYYYY that it comes in more colors to add to a remixable wardrobe! Find them all HERE!
I just ordered the purple one which is ? and new this season!
Printed Skirt + Yellow Flats
This is one of my all-time favorite skirts, and I hope it comes back in stock this summer. (I got it two years ago and it got restocked last summer, so I’m hopeful again for this summer!) If you were lucky enough to snag this last summer, here’s another way to wear it—let the blues in both pieces be cohesive, then make it all pop with yellow flats. I LOVE navy/blue and yellow so, so, SO much! Red flats would also work.

Colorful Skirt + Printed Shoes
A neutral colored sweater pairs great with a colorful skirt! Add printed shoes to give the outfit some more interest.
I originally showed this outfit during the transition from summer to early fall, but I think it works for the transition from winter to spring too.
I fell in love with this yellow skirt last year! It’s a gorgeous color, is fully lined, has a bit of elastic at the back of the waist and to make it more comfortable, and has POCKETS! The only downside for me is it’s a midi skirt which for me generally requires heels. Beautiful nonetheless! This skirt comes in 7 colors which you can see HERE. I wear size M.
Try this combo with a skirt that’s bright red, burgundy, white, burnt orange, or tan!

Tan Skirt + Colorful or Printed Shoes
Speaking of tan skirts…here! ? I really, really love navy with tan and cognac. This outfit works with leopard print, brown, or maroon pumps, but to lighten it up a tad for spring, I chose blush pink.

Grey Pants + Maroon Pumps
Other colors I love pairing with navy are grey and maroon. I recently used this outfit to illustrate how accessories totally pull together outfits. This is a super easy combo for work!

White Jeans + Leopard Print Shoes + Tan Accessories
I absolutely LOVE navy with white jeans. I actually would have LOVED to put my beloved yellow flats with this outfit, but since I already used yellow flats in a previous outfit, I went with leopard flats here. I paired it with my cognac bag and tan cutouts, and I love how they pop against the white and navy. Feels fresh for spring!
I love how this works for casual outfits and for work! I was gonna name my favorite outfit of the bunch, but I couldn’t choose one. This sweater makes a bunch of great outfits! Are any of these an outfit you could wear?
Next up, I might need to do a remix with the purple version of this sweater! So, so cute! 😀
