Thanksgiving is in a week and a half, and ever since I can remember, it’s been the hugest deal in my family.  Our love language is food, so we get together with my extended family and go ALL OUT.  Multiple times throughout the week, we feast like crazy.  To accommodate that, I always need Thanksgiving outfits that look put together but are super duper comfy.  Gotta make room for that extra food-baby I’m sure to acquire! 😆

Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle to share five COMFY outfits for Thanksgiving and any other food-filled holiday events coming your way!  You know I take comfort seriously, and my favorite comfy pieces come from Nordstrom.  It’s totally changed my closet!

Plus, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders!  They also offer curbside pickup, where you can place an order online then DRIVE UP and pick up your order.  They bring it out to your car!  Between all these, it’s so, so, soooo convenient to shop at Nordstrom.

 

Before we get to the outfits, we need to talk about jeans.  You may be looking at these outfits wondering how jeans could ever be considered comfortable enough to accommodate a food baby?  The secret is stretchy jeans!  My favorites for the last few years have been Wit and Wisdom.  In case you’re new around here, my go-to pair is their dark wash jeggings, which I’m wearing throughout this post.  They are incredibly soft and stretchy with lots of give in the waistband.  They run huge, so be sure to size down a lot.  I wear size 4 and could fit 2!

BUT, you also need to know about Wit and Wisdom’s Ab-Solution line.  In addition to those being very stretchy through out the legs, any pair from the Ab-Solution line also has elastic sewn into the waistband for EXTRA comfort!  It makes wearing jeans SO COMFORTABLE.  Check them out HERE in regular, petite, and plus sizes.  Or shop some through the widget below:

 

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.  

 

Outfit #1: Cozy Tunic Sweater + Stretchy Jeans
For a super easygoing outfit that still looks chic, wear a long tunic sweater.  This one from BP. is lightweight and really soft!  I love how it slightly skims my waist for a flattering drape, rather than hanging straight down with a boxy fit.  It comes in 4 colors, which you can see HERE.

I paired this with my favorite dark wash jeans, but you can also wear this tunic with leggings!

Outfit #2: Butter Tee + Cardigan + Stretchy Jeans
These tops are called “butter tees” because they are so soft that they feel like BUTTER!  They’re made of a thicker material that is extremely soft, plus they’re stretchy and float away from the body with a swing silhouette and roomy fit.  Perfect for stuffing yourself on Thanksgiving! 😁 In fact, I wore a different butter tee a couple Thanksgivings ago with the same jeans!  This top is available in this floral print and a black and white polka dot print HERE.  Both are on sale for $23 but almost sold out, so hurry!!  I wear size XS as it runs big.  Also, this print is available in other long sleeved versions in different cuts.  Equally as soft though!

Outfit #3: Twist Fleece + Striped Tee + Jeans + Boots or Booties
Let’s not forget this fan favorite outfit with the twist fleece and striped tee layered underneath!  You could skip the striped tee or wear it as a great way to add visual interest and stay warmer.  This is really cozy and comfy, but it looks polished with jeans, booties, and a necklace!

And BTW twist fleeces are BACK IN STOCK and ON SALE!  They’re fully restocked in black and grey and are now available in other colors like teal, blue, red, ivory, and a BEAUTIFUL green HERE.  I got the green one last year as it was selling out.  Whenever I show it on Instastories, several people message me asking about it, and I’m SO HAPPY IT’S BACK!  See it HERE.  I’m also eyeing the ivory one–love these things and can’t get enough. 😆  These run very large.  I wear them in XS and still have plenty of room.

Outfit #4: White Tunic + Cardigan + Leggings + Blanket Scarf + Tall Boots
This is another fan favorite that should totally be in the running for a Thanksgiving outfit!  The tunic is really roomy to let you stuff yourself full. 😁 Plus, you get to wear leggings!  These are my favorite Zella leggings which I have also talked about for years.  They are thick and opaque, and they have a high, wide waistband to suck everything in and keep the leggings from slipping down.  Check them out HERE.

Make sure you balance the length of the tunic by anchoring the outfit with tall boots and a necklace or scarf!  My boots are from last year, but this year’s version is super similar and ON SALE!  They have a very soft upper and comfy, padded footbed.  See them HERE.

Outfit #5: Sweater + Stretchy Jeans
Lastly, keep it simple with a cute, loose sweater and stretchy jeans.  Really, all roads lead to stretchy jeans.😜 This sweater has balloon sleeves, a flattering curved hem, and pointelle details that elevate it from a regular pullover sweater.  Those details make it really easy to wear as the sweater does all the work to look cute for you!  Plus, it’s very, very soft!  It comes in grey, maroon, and mustard yellow.  Check them out HERE.  I wear size S.
