5 Casual Outfits to Get You Ready for Spring + Waterproof Sneakers???

5 Casual Spring Outfits

5 Casual Spring Outfits

I’ve yet to meet a person who doesn’t appreciate a cute casual outfit, so today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share 5 casual outfits that will get you ready for spring!

I found some really great pieces for spring at Nordstrom recently, and they’re all only between $18 to $40 (including waterproof sneakers!)  I’ll highlight my finds in each outfit below!

This twist top is the long sleeve version of one of my favorite tees from this past summer.  It’s basically a plain cotton tee, except the twist make its way cuter and more interesting.  I’ve gotten SO many compliments on the short sleeve versions, and these long sleeve ones are awesome for spring if it’s a little cooler where you are.  I loooove this teal color, but it also comes in purple, white, and black.

I paired this teal one with white jeans and white sneakers for a cute, fresh weekend outfit for spring.  It’ll also be cute with olive jeans.  (Yes, you can totally do olive with turquoise!)

This runs pretty large, so usually I wear XS in these for a more fitted look and S for a more relaxed look.  I’m wearing S in these pics and it fits really well over my third trimester baby bump.  Also it’s on sale for 35% off!  Find it HERE.

Graphic Tee + Leggings + White Sneakers + White Bag + Denim Jacket Graphic Tee + White Sneakers + Leggings + White Bag Leggings + White Bag + Statement Earrings + Graphic Tee

For a cute athleisure outfit, I paired leggings with this brighter graphic tee from Topshop.  A brighter colored tee is fun for spring and makes black leggings pop!

Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Topshop tee!  It’s really thick with a great cut.  Unfortunately stock is really low right now but sizes are popping in and out as returns happen.  Try to catch it HERE because it really is good quality.  Plus, I like that the wash is a bit faded or “worn” looking, which is more apparent on the product site.  If you can’t catch it in your size, there are a few similar Topshop tees that are worth checking out HERE, HERE, and HERE.

A striped tee + jeans + white sneakers + utility jacket is one of my go-to casual looks.  If anyone’s looking for a good striped v-neck tee, try this one!  I have this tee in both solid grey and olive, and I’ve always loved the way it drapes, so when I saw it in stripes I was like YESSSSS!  This striped version is awesome, but sizes are running out quickly, so catch it HERE!  I’m wearing it in size S, which is the size I get when I’m not pregnant, and it’s still loose on me even with a third trimester baby bump.  But that’s why it drapes so nicely without a bump!

Black Top + Black Leggings + Black Sneakers + Cognac Tote Black leggings + White Sneakers + Black Top + Cognac Tote Black Top + Statement Earrings + Black Leggings + Cognac Tote Leggings + White Sneakers + Cognac Tote + Black Top + Statement Earrings

While the previous athleisure look I showed utilized a bright colored tee, for a different athleisure look, I went all black with just a pop of white shoes.

This v-neck sweater is on the thinner side, making it a great option for spring.  It’s really long and relaxed, which is why a lot of people like it.  I almost bought it last year but resisted as I didn’t feel I needed a second black sweater.  But, I came back to it this spring since it fits over my baby bump very easily.  I was happy to have an excuse to purchase it!  😛   It comes in black and two different types of grey that you can see HERE.  It runs large as I’m wearing S here with plenty of room to spare.

I’ve gotten some questions about leggings, and while in these pics I’m wearing maternity leggings, my favorite regular pair are these high waisted ones by Zella.  They are thick, not see through at all, and are actually meant for working out so they have a bit of compression which kinda helps holds in extra jiggle.  They are matte, so many people including myself wear them both for casual everyday outfits and for working out.  I was hesitant about the high waist and large waistband since I typically don’t like high waisted jeans, but for leggings it’s actually more comfortable!  It flattens out the tummy area and doesn’t dig into your stomach like a thinner waistband would.  I wear them in M, and you can find them HERE.

Lastly, this is the short sleeved version of that twist tee from the first outfit.  I paired it with grey and blush for a lighter palette spring outfit.

This blush cardigan is suuuuper soft, and though the title says “fleece,” it’s NOT thick at all and much better suited for spring.  It’s on sale for 50% off and comes in 5 colors, but yall know I loooove blush for spring!  Heads up though, it does fuzz a little bit, but I’ve worn it like 6 or 7 times now and it hasn’t gotten worse since the initial fuzzing.  It’s not pilling, rather it just gets fuzzy, if that makes sense.  Not sure if a sweater shaver would fix it.  It runs large, as I’m wearing it in XS and it’s still pretty roomy.  See all the colors HERE.

These WATERPROOF sneakers (whaaat?) are a fun spring addition if you’re into blush and white!  They *are* synthetic looking, but that’s because they’re supposedly waterproof, which is GREAT for so many of you who’ve told me your springs include rain or showers.  If it’s not totally pouring and just showering, these are a cool option that allow you to wear lighter colored springy sneakers in wetter weather.  They’re a nice break from rain boots and boots in general!  See them HERE.
