4 EASY, Fuss-Free Outfits to Feel Put Together AND Comfortable

4 Easy, Fuss Free Outfits

Huge thanks to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post

Raise your hand if you like outfits that are easy to wear! đŸ™‹đŸ»â€â™€ïž If you want to feel put together for family activities over winter break, but you also want outfits that feel comfortable and easy to move around in, I’ve got your back! 😊 I’ve been wearing a few fuss-free outfit formulas on repeat, and today I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle to share them with you.  Make your life easier by incorporating some of them into your regular rotation!

You all know that some of my favorite clothes are from Nordstrom.  Recently, a fellow PMT reader surveyed our Facebook community for brands that wash and wear well. Several people recommended Nordstrom, particularly their in-house, Nordstrom made brands, which I totally second!  Nordstrom’s in-house brands like Caslon, BP., Halogen, and Zella are the ones I shop most frequently and trust the most.

Plus, I love shopping at Nordstrom because of their fantastic customer service and perks!  Nordstrom offers free shipping and free return shipping on all orders, so you can try things risk free, which is SO helpful for online shopping.  You can also order online and utilize their contactless curbside pickup if you don’t want to wait for shipping.  Last, if you’re part of the Nordy Club, you can earn points on your purchases, in addition to other benefits which you can read about HERE.

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Tunic Sweater + Leggings
A tunic sweater with leggings has the same comfort and easy vibe as leggings and an old sweatshirt, but it looks way more put together.  It’s very, very easy to move around in and is great for time at home or venturing out for a family walk to look at Christmas lights.

You can do this combo with lots of different kinds of sweaters.  The key is a sweater that is loose and relaxed.  With a looser sweater, I never have to adjust anything throughout the day.  And, I feel way less self-conscious than I would in a sweater that is more form fitting.

This sweater is cozy while being pretty lightweight.  It’s 26″ long in size M, which is long enough to be tunic length on me.  I sized up to M for a looser, more relaxed fit.  (For reference, I’m often S and sometimes XS in this brand.)  This color is no longer in stock, but grey and pink are available HERE!  And it’s ON SALE!

The leggings are my standard Live In High Waist Zella leggings that you should be very familiar with at this point! 😜 They’re thick and not see through, and they have compression to help firm things up a bit.  I used to buy leggings that were thin and didn’t really hold anything in, so I felt exposed in them.  I feel WAY more secure in these Zella leggings, which is why I love them!  Check them out HERE.  I wear size M.

2. Joggers + Sweatshirt
Of course, you’ve gotta go with joggers and a sweatshirt!  This is such an easy outfit combo, and I wear it on repeat with different joggers and sweatshirts.  You can do this in various ways, including a loungewear version with joggers like THESE and a comfy top like THIS or comfy hoodie like THIS.  Or, go for a sporty version like I’m wearing here.

These joggers by Zella are AMAZING, by the way. I was hesitant to try them because they cost more than I’m used to paying for joggers, but Erin from team PMT, plus the 4.5 stars from almost 900 reviews made me SO curious.  The verdict?  Honestly, I wish I’d never tried them because I don’t know if I can go back to other joggers now. 😆 I don’t know what it is about them, but they feel sooooooooo good. Like BUTTER!  They are very stretchy with a soft, smooth feel.  Besides that, I don’t really know how else to describe them except that they feel like butter!

They retain their shape well, and the knees don’t get super baggy. They aren’t thick, so if you’re looking for something warm and fuzzy, this is not the right pair for you.  These definitely have more of a sporty vibe for a stylish athleisure look.  If that’s what you’re going for, give these a shot!  These have a higher waist at 11”, which I know some of you love.  Personally, that’s higher than my ideal rise, but thankfully I still find these pretty comfortable. I’ve been looking for a new pair of black joggers for a long time, and I think these will finally fill that spot!  Check them out HERE.

For sweatshirts, any fitted one works well.  I switch between fuzzy and sporty sweatshirts, depending on if I’m going for loungewear or athleisure.  For an athleisure look with joggers, I often reach for this sporty Zella sweatshirt. It has a super relaxed vibe with an immediate worn-in feel.  The drop shoulders and hi-low hem give it extra style.  It comes in 4 colors HERE.  I wear size S.

3. Relaxed Sweater + Jeans + Sleek Sneakers
Another go-to outfit is a relaxed sweater with jeans and sneakers.  This is the same tunic sweater as the green one above, but I wanted to show you this pretty light grey version as well.  (Which is currently 40% off BTW!)  You can do this outfit formula with a long tunic sweater or a short one.  Just remember to keep the sweater relaxed for that fuss-free vibe.  If you don’t want to wear a pendant necklace, skip it!  Just make sure to add some earrings or a shorter pendant necklace to finish off the outfit.

The other factor for an unfussy outfit is jeans with stretch, which you know I’m all about!  I most often wear Wit & Wisdom’s Ab-Solution jeans because they are stretchy throughout the leg, in addition to having a stretchy waistband with elastic for extra comfort.  What good are stretchy jeans if the waistband isn’t stretchy, right?!  Check out all of Wit & Wisdom’s Ab-solution line HERE.

4. Statement Sweater + Stretchy Jeans
Last is a dressier option with a statement sweater and stretchy jeans.  This is great for events like a special Christmas dinner, when you want to step it up a bit but the setting is still pretty low key.  It’s dressier than leggings and a plain sweater, but it’s just as easy to move round in!  You can also opt for wedge sneakers for more comfortable footwear.

Choose a sweater with a relaxed fit that has special details to elevate it.  This sweater has balloon sleeves with cable knit details, and a ribbed texture to kick it up from a plain sweater.  It comes in 4 colors, including maroon, black, white, and Beige Oatmeal Light Heather, which is what I’m wearing.  Check them out HERE!

I’ve rounded up some more statement sweaters that you can shop through the widget below!
