3 Casual Winter Outfits From the Winter Starter Kit Wardrobe Guide

3 Outfits from the Winter Starter Kit Guide

Hey friends!  Anyone else in desperate need of winter style inspo?  If you’re itching for inspiration for casual winter outfits, today I’m sharing three winter outfits from the Everyday Casual Winter Starter Kit Wardrobe Guide.  This guide is full of my go-to outfit combos!  It turns 15 pieces into well over 30+ outfits and helps you get started with a mix and match winter wardrobe.  It focuses primarily on Everyday Casual outfits, and then shows you how to expand to Athleisure and Dressy Casual outfits by adding just a few pieces.  Read more about it HERE!

SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

Outfit #1: Colorful Sweater + Jeans
A couple ways to change up a tired sweater + jeans look in the winter is to 1) switch from a neutral sweater to a colored sweater, and 2) change up regular blue jeans to black jeans.  Those things go a long, long way!

This sweater is from last year but is still available this year HERE in tons of colors.  Heads up that it has drop shoulders, so it can easily give that “linebacker” effect.  Luckily there are free returns for Prime members, so you can try it with little risk.  Add some earrings to finish off this simple look!

Outfit #2: Colored Printed Top + Neutral Cardigan + Jeans
This combo works with ANY printed top in ANY color.  Could be a plaid top like this, a floral print blouse, or a loud geometric printed top.  If you need to layer this look even more for colder temps, use my tips from How I Stay Warm In the Winter While Trying to Look Cute.

Outfit #3: Striped Tee + Pullover Sweater + Vest + Jeans
I love this layered combo!  It keeps you plenty warm but still looks put together if you need to peel off a layer or two once you get inside where heaters are blasting.  The peek of stripes underneath is a favorite trick to make outfits look more interesting.  And what’s great is if it’s REALLY hot indoors and you need to pull off both the vest and pullover, a striped tee + jeans makes a way cuter outfit than a plain black long sleeve tee + jeans!

Winter Starter Kit Wardrobe Guide

If you’re looking for more winter outfit inspiration, check out the Winter Starter Kit Wardrobe Guide!  It’s built for anyone starting from scratch OR who find themselves in that awkward transitional period (you know–between having kids where little fits, but you’re waiting for the next season where things are “normal” again).  Starter Kits start with 9 pieces that give you 9-15 outfits so that you can build a solid foundation, or so you can feel great about your style while in the transition periods, without having to buy an entirely new wardrobe.

I’m not starting from scratch, but since these are my go-to outfits for winter I still use this guide regularly to figure out what to wear.😄  Anyway, check it out HERE or look through the rest of the outfit guides that are available in the PMT Shop!
