Last week I shared 3 Comfy but CHIC Tops that feel like fleece/pajamas/athleisure. Today I’m following up on that post to style each of them in an additional outfit so you can see how to dress them down or up!
SIZING INFO: For reference I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6/8 in clothes, 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
THE BUTTER TOP
I said last week that this top does not look very special upon first glance, but it’s actually really fuzzy and, well, buttery! Hence the name. It’s so soft and cozy and comfy! I really could sleep in this thing, haha! It comes in 6 solid colors and 4 various striped versions HERE.
The first outfit is from last week’s post where I dressed this top up for lunch out. Add an accessory and some tall boots, and you can go out wearing a top so comfy that you’d be inclined to sleep in it.
The second outfit is an easy dressed down look with sneakers. I wore this a couple weekends ago to run errands with my family and loved it!
This one is a fuzzy, cozy, thin fleece–but the neckline is convertible! It makes for the easiest athleisure outfit with my favorite not-see-through leggings (read my review of them HERE) and ridiculously comfortable sneakers that have a memory foam footbed. The top is 24″ long in the front and 30″ long in the back, in case you’re wondering if it’ll work on your body over leggings.
As cozy, comfy, and casual as this fleece seems, you can also wear it as an off-the-shoulder top for a cozy but chic date outfit! (Now, whether you find off-the-shoulder tops practical is another story. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t, but you could still dress it up as a cowl neck just the same.) I added some jewelry and a leopard print clutch to dress it up a bit.
This one isn’t fuzzy or cozy like the two mentioned above, but it does remind me of very soft pajama tops. Yet, it’s a cute, everyday bell sleeve top!
On the left is how I showed the top last week in a casual going-to-lunch outfit. I don’t think I’d dress this top down further for athleisure, but I do think it could go the other way and be dressed up for work!
On the right is the top effortlessly paired with black slacks, a statement necklace to give the outfit a focal point, and printed shoes to elevate the look a bit. Also, you should know that those black slacks literally feel like yoga pants. Like, they are so comfy and stretchy that I could do yoga in them. Seriously! They have a side zipper, don’t have any pockets, and the waistband is a little high. However, I actually like that they don’t have pockets because typically with dress pants, pockets are what kill it for me with my wider hips! They stick out awkwardly. This pair fits my hips perfectly, and they are sooooo stretchy! Had no idea dress pants could feel so great!
