With my kids requiring more running around and constant movement, my collection of boots and booties have taken a backseat, and sneakers have become the clear frontrunners! For chic, everyday casual looks, go for slip-on sneakers instead of running shoes. I’m doing all of today’s outfits with these awesome leopard print wedge sneakers, but you can go with lower profile leopard print slip-on sneakers like THESE, too. I have low profile ones, but in the fall and winter I really like wedge sneakers because they cover more of your feet and keep you warmer. Also, this specific pair is WATER RESISTANT, which means you don’t have to worry about changing your outfit or figuring out different footwear when it’s rainy or wet outside. Outfit #1: Solid Neutrals
If you’ve got an outfit full of solid, neutral pieces, a fun way to kick it up a notch is by adding leopard print sneakers! I paired them with this soft, lightweight cream sweater and utility vest for a cute, layered look.
This vest by Caslon is a fantastic option! Often, utility vests are stiff, but this one isn’t! It’s sturdy while still being soft, flexible, and easy to wear. It’s got huge pockets for holding all the things your kids hand to you. The drawstring waistband allows you to cinch it in for a more flattering fit rather than being boxy and shapeless. Outfit #2: Rust Orange
Elevate a simple sweater + jeans combo with a statement shoe like leopard print wedge sneakers. They put a twist on the whole outfit!
Rust orange is one of my favorite color pairings with leopard print! This sweater by Chelsea 28 is super, super soft, and cozy, yet it’s lightweight and easy to wear. The cowl neck and cuffed sleeves are a nice touch, too! Heads up though, it does run a little short while the sleeves run long. The length is actually great for my short torso, but be mindful of it if you’ve got a longer torso. Also, some reviewers have had trouble with this sweater upon washing, which you can read about HERE. If you’re looking for a similar colored sweater that appears to be a bit more durable, try THIS one by Treasure & Bond.
I paired it with my favorite super stretchy jeans! They are insanely soft, stretchy, and comfy. They run huge. I wear size 4 but can also fit size 2 (!!), so be sure to size down. See them HERE.
I’d often wear a sweater like this with booties, boots, or nicer flats. But, I love how the leopard print wedge sneakers turn this into a sportier look!

Outfit #3: Mixing Prints
Last, mix it up by mixing prints! Stripes and leopard are a classic print mix. Keep things cohesive by having at least one common color as the thread that unites the prints. In this case, it’s black.
This striped tee is currently limited in sizing, but I’m hopeful it’ll get restocked since I actually bought this last year and it came back again this year as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s insanely soft and very stretchy. It’s more form-fitting, which is great for wearing it tucked into skirts or high waisted pants. Try to catch it HERE.
If I’m not tucking the top into something, I prefer to wear it with a layer over it, like how I topped it off once again with the Caslon utility vest. Gotta love how versatile a utility vest is!
