3 Blouses to Have in Your Work Wardrobe to Add Variety

Huge thanks to Kohl’s and Collective Voice for sponsoring this post

Having a variety of blouses in your closet helps diversify your outfits, keeping your wardrobe fresh with less pieces. I recently shared a post like this about general spring tops to have in your wardrobe, and so many of you found this post helpful, we’re back with another one. This time, we’re going one layer deeper and focusing on just blouses. There are several types of tops that I consider important “building blocks” that add diversity, and today I’m partnering with Kohl’s and Collective Voice to share three blouses to have in your work wardrobe! I’ll share the building block they fit into and some ideas for how to style them. Consider adding 1-2 of each of these types of blouses to have a well-rounded wardrobe!

Kohl’s has such a great variety of clothes and even BETTER prices, so it’s easy to find different blouses to have in your work wardrobe! They carry everything from activewear to casual wear to work wear to special occasion attire, and they offer a range of sizes, including straight, petite, and plus options. On top of that, you can shop conveniently by ordering online and utilizing their in-store or curbside pickup options!

Right now you can get 15% off your order with code DEALS until 4/8!

Here are three different types of blouses to have in your work wardrobe in order to mix up your looks and keep outfits fresh without having to buy a ton of clothes!

SIZING: I’m 5’6” and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.

1. Neutral Printed Blouse
First up is a blouse with a print that is made of all neutrals. Printed tops help outfits look more interesting, and the all-neutral color palette enables them to go with a lot of different bottoms and completer pieces. This is a great way to get print into your wardrobe if you don’t love a lot of colors. And even if you do love colors, having one of these in your wardrobe provides a lot of versatility since it goes with a lot of things. The print could be anything, like stripes, polka dots, geometric shapes, or something like this black, white, and tan spotted blouse.

This top is really lightweight and flowy, and it works well with slacks like I’m doing here, and you can pair it with jeans for a nice casual outfit. It comes in 6 prints and colors, and is just $29.99 right now! See it in straight sizes HERE and petite sizes HERE. I’m wearing size S.

Like I mentioned, this print in particular, because it’s made of all neutral colors, can be paired with a lot of different colored pants or layers. Here, I went with pants in a neutral color and topped it off with a pretty green cardigan. This cardigan is made of a light to medium-weight fabric and has a slim profile, not adding much bulk. It comes in 7 colors and is just $32.99, HERE! I’m wearing size S.

2. Colored Printed Blouse
Next up is a colored printed blouse. These are really fun and add a lot of life to outfits, and they are personally one of my favorite types of blouses to have in your work wardrobe! You can pair them with neutral counterparts, or you can have some fun and use “color pulling,” which is to pull a color from the print and incorporate it elsewhere in the outfit. For example, I pulled the pink out of the print and echoed it with a pink blazer for a cohesive, pulled together, statement-making look. Love it!

This top comes in 7 prints in straight sizes HERE and 4 prints in plus sizes HERE. Several great options for spring! I’m wearing size S.

This blazer is really lightweight with a satiny finish. Great for spring! It comes in 5 colors, HERE. Find it in plus sizing HERE and petite sizing HERE. I’m wearing size S.

I finished it off with dark wash jeans for a polished look. I’ve mentioned these jeans before, and they are SUPER comfy! They’re thick and really, really stretchy, and they have a stretchy elastic waistband which makes them extra comfortable. And they’re just $36.99 right now! Find them in 5 washes, HERE. I’m wearing size 6 in the colorway “Niagra.”

3. Solid Colored Blouse
Last up is a solid colored blouse. Color instantly adds visual interest and style!

This blouse has a satiny feel which makes it feel dressier. Great for professional outfits or for dressy casual looks with jeans! This comes in 10 solid colors and 6 prints, HERE. See it in plus sizing HERE and petite sizing HERE. I wear size S.  One note is that some of the colors and prints don’t have the satiny material, though they are still blouses that can be dressed up for work and paired with jeans.

You can pair a solid colored top with bottoms in nearly any neutral color, whether black, navy, tan, brown, white, or grey like I’m doing here. Lots of options!

These pants are pull-on with stretch and a stretchy elastic waistband. They come in 6 colorsHERE. Find them in plus sizing HERE and petite sizing HERE. I’m wearing size S.

And, there you go! Those are three blouses to have in your work wardrobe that will help add variety. Start by including 1-2 from each category, according to your style. For example, if you LOVE colorful prints, add 2 or 3 or even 4 of those and include only 1 Neutral Printed Blouse and 1 Solid Colored Blouse. Or, if you shy away from color, add 2-3 Neutral Printed Blouses and only one of each of the other categories. Customize the number of each building block in your wardrobe according to your taste! Make sense?

And, whatever your style, Kohl’s has plenty of options for you! And you can get them ON SALE for 15% off until 4/8 with code DEALS! Check some out in the widget below:

I hope this helps you build an interesting and varied wardrobe with less pieces!
