There’s still AT LEAST a whole month of warm weather where I live, and in case you would still like summer outfit inspiration, I thought I’d share a round-up of summer outfits that I’ve been wearing lately!
Apologies in advance that some of these clothes aren’t available anymore. Hopefully you’ll still get outfit ideas, though!
SIZING: I’m 5’6″ and usually S/M or 6 in clothes and 8.5 to 9 in shoes.
Outfit #1
Easygoing, super casual outfit that I wore on our summer trip a few weeks back and several times after. This is one of my go-to looks for hanging out near the pool on a really hot day.

Outfit—what outfit? I think we can all agree that Aiden is the real star here. That said, these shorts are VERY comfy. They’re Wit & Wisdom, so they’re stretchy and have the awesome elastic waistband, and they’re ON SALE for 40% off right now, making them just $34.80. DEFINITELY WORTH IT! While most of my closet is full of pieces that are versatile and that I’d wear a bunch of ways, sometimes, you need some statement pieces in your wardrobe, too. This has been a great one to wear for church or really just any casual day that I’m up for feeling a bit fancier. 😄💁🏻♀️ Plus, it’s hard to not love anything with pockets!

Jumpsuit! Despite the fact that you have to be naked when you go to the bathroom 😂, I’m loving jumpsuits more and more. I love the freedom you feel with having NO waistband, like you often only get with dresses, except you have the added bonus of being able to sit down easily with pants.
This jumpsuit is a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale item that I only ever shared with you in widgets (not in a live photo) because it sold out FAST! But, I love it! I’d like to get the shoulder straps shortened a tad, but it is reallyyyyyy comfortable and fun to wear! You can see if it’s available in your size from returns, HERE. I’m wearing size M.

A few ways I’ve worn my favorite summer top! I’ve talked about this top before, and I believe it’s nearly sold out in both places. I’ve worn it with my soft Gap Tencel pants, which have been my absolute favorite summer pants! I also wore them with the linen shorts from Old Navy. And for jeans, I liked pairing them with these super comfortable distressed straight leg jeans, which have been one of my favorite summer jeans. They’re really, really comfy and currently available ON SALE, HERE! I wear size 4. These do stretch out with wear, and as you can see in the pic above, the section below my knees is misshapen. I don’t wear them when I’m going for a super neat look, but I do wear them for comfort!

All dressed up for…taking Addie to get some cavities filled. 😆 But this dress is SO COMFORTABLE, so I’m down to wear it almost anywhere! And, pockets! They still get me every time. It comes in several colors, HERE. I wear size S.

This is another NSale top that sold out before I could barely even review it. It is super duper lightweight and breezy, so I’ve been loving it for summer. It is semi-sheer, but having had it for a bit and wearing it several times now, I actually can’t see my bra when I wear a nude-colored bra. I actually tried wearing a nude-colored camisole under, and that showed through more!
This is one of my few pairs of jeans that don’t have stretch in the waistband, and somehow I tolerate them—some days. 😆 I’m willing to give up some comfort for the color and distressing. They’re available in sizes 24 to 35 and in regular, petite, and tall lengths, HERE. I wear size 28/6.

Been a loooong time since I’ve worn white jeans. I fearlessly wore them when I just had Addie—she was such a clean kid. But honestly, over time I realized my kids are actually not the problem. It’s me. And chocolate. I get chocolate on myself every time. What really happened was that I used to have white jeans with a tougher material that also had a little bit of texture that did not absorb stains easily. I could wipe them off fairly well. They were also an off-white which helped even more to hide stains. When those jeans no longer fit (which I will blame on BOTH kids and chocolate 😆) I switched to a different pair that feels like absorbs stains more and is also more purely white. Anyway, that’s my long story of why I don’t wear white jeans as much anymore. I miss them, though! I need to try and find a pair that is off-white and has that same durable feeling. Anyway, I braved them here and tried to stay away from both my kids and chocolate… both of which are hard to avoid, haha!!
Better note, these shoes! They’re a late summer purchase from Amazon, and they’re so dang cute! Very affordable and pretty comfy too. They don’t have any support (because they’re cheap Amazon sandals, ha), but the upper is very, very soft which is where I give them points for comfort. They come in lots of different shades, HERE. I’m wearing size 8.5.
