Maroon Mary Jane Pumps

I told you in my recent shoe post (HERE) that I love incorporating a pop of color with shoes.  I recently got this fun pair of Mary Jane pumps from Sole Society (HERE), which provide that perfect pop in one of my favorite fall/winter colors--maroon!

Sole Society carries beautiful shoes, many of which are classic with a tiny twist or a special little detail--right up my alley.  For example, the base of these pumps are a very classic silhouette, but the added Mary Jane type strap is that tiny detail that makes them stand out from a normal pump.  Or, one of my favorite pairs of shoes in my closet is from Sole Society--my leopard print pumps (HERE).  Besides the beautiful print, it being a D'orsay pump rather than a standard pump is just slightly different, but enough to standout from other standard leopard pumps I've seen.

I also love that Sole Society focuses on fresh styles with high quality craftsmanship.  They are more expensive than my average cost for shoes (though that average is increasing as I get older and pay more attention to my feet/body), but with Sole Society I take comfort knowing that they are on parr with shoes that are twice as expensive.

These Mary Jane pumps also come in black and grey, and I had one heck of a time deciding between them all!  I don't have red pumps, so I went with these.  Plus, they're a great option for Valentine's Day!  I'm typically size 8.5 to 9, and though the leopard pumps I own from Sole Society are 8.5, I'm wearing these in 9.  I felt the toe box was slightly narrow for me, so I went up a size.  I don't like having squished toes!  The 9s are possibly a little long, but it doesn't affect my walking at all because the strap on top secures my feet in the shoe.

I also have a couple bags from Sole Society that are among my most used bags, like this woven clutch (HERE, worn HERE) which has been my go-to bag when dressing up, and this cognac laser cut saddle bag (HERE, worn HERE) which was one of my go-to bags this summer.  Both of those are on the smaller size, so this time I chose this larger black leather one (HERE).  It's roomy, has zippered pockets on both the front and back, has several organizational pockets inside, and has a cute animal print lining.  Unfortunately it's sold out now but can be waitlisted.  Sole Society also has a number of other similar bags HERE.  In addition to those, this leopard clutch HERE is a great buy, and I have been a very, very longtime fan of their cognac weekender duffel bag (HERE).

Many of their bags are roughly the same cost or just slightly more expensive than bags from Target or similar stores, but the quality of Sole Society bags is so.much.better!  I had a couple of Target bags that I paid around $40 for that both broke on me, and now that I've felt how sturdy the Sole Society bags are in comparison, I see that you get a lot more than you pay for with Sole Society.  That includes both bags and shoes!  That's just to say if you are looking to step up your shoe game or your bags in both quality and style, I highly recommend Sole Society.
