Spring Blues

Ohmigosh.  To have jeans that fit again!  Many, not all, but many of my jeans have become pretty loose on me from weight loss, and it's been driving me crazy. And I think it's safe to assume that we all know how much shopping for jeans SUCKS, and wearing a pair that fits is a breath of fresh air.

These are the LOFT jeans I reviewed a while ago, and I decided to keep the petite pair.  I hemmed and hawed about it, worried I would miss the extra 1/2 inch I desired like some of you also expressed.  But I realized that, at least in this season of my style, I've been rolling up my jeans to this length anyway so that they would fit above shoes such as these.  So far the decision to keep them is for the better, and I just hope I don't regret it later!

Several people have asked about this top on Instagram, and there are FINALLY good similar options out!

  4. Looks great! And congrats on the weight loss, as well! Do you have any style suggestions for the weight loss transition time itself? I'm going through a massive weight loss period and got rid of nearly all of my clothes because they were falling off of me, but I'm still losing and can't buy much as it only fits for about two weeks. Any ideas would be appreciated!

  6. These are exactly the kind of shirts I need. I'm very good at picking out and buying basic cotton tops (probably because they can be found for cheap) but not so good at expanding my wardrobe!

  7. I think the length is PERFECT! I'm super petite, so finding that ankle length is nearly impossible.

  10. Good call on keeping the petites, Audrey! I like this length because you don't have to roll them up allll the time (which I do 99% of the time when I'm wearing my jeans with flats or sandals), but they still could tuck into boots just fine if you wanted to wear them when the weather cools down. I love how you look in cobalt, as well! You're just so pretty!

  11. The jeans look great on you! And I know what you mean, I've been on the hunt to replace my too large jeans recently....I've tried so many pairs, so hard to find the right ones!

  12. Love the 4th top from Target, but it's not available right now. BUMMER! I totally get the hated jeans buying experience, especially now that I've got a3 year old. I'm still thin (5'5", 125lb), but things that hang down too low are just not something I feel comfortable in. Plus, I don't have time to pull my pants up when running around playing with her. I left James at home when we went away for a trip & it was a LOT cooler than we expected. I needs an inexpensive pair of jeans so we went to Target. I LOVE the DENIZEN by Lee skinny Jean! They fit a little bit higher on my hips without being high waisted so my underwear never hangs out. They don't stretch out during the day & fit just as well when I take them of at night & even after a couple of days wear. They were about $30. It was more than I really wanted to pay but I'm so glad I did.

  16. Thanks, Stephanie! Congrats on your weight loss as well. My weight loss wasn't that extreme or that rapid, so I don't know how much I can speak into clothes only fitting for as long as 2 weeks. Swing-type dresses (with not much shape to them) are great as long as they fit the shoulders. You can belt them to give them shape, regardless of what size your mid-section is. One like this: http://www.puttingmetogether.com/search/label/grey%20heathered%20t-shirt%20dress I wore when I was pregnant as well as not pregnant.

Also, flowy tops might last longer (4 weeks instead of 2? haha)...again, as long as the shoulders fit.

  18. Oh shoot, sorry about that top! I didn't try to purchase them so I didn't see they were out of stock.

Thanks for the tip on the DENIZEN skinnies! I had a black pair of DENIZEN jeans, and I'll have to check out the skinny jeans. I love knowing that they don't stretch.
