Copy That

I straight up copied this look from an Old Navy ad.  I had all the pieces, including a very similar scarf, so it was a done deal.  The pieces are simple, but I definitely wouldn't have come up with the combination on my own.  I love how the scarf brings the look together--I don't think the blue pumps would have fit otherwise.

And you can totally recreate this outfit with any other colors, and flats instead of pumps.  Grey tee + white jeans, then add a colorful scarf and shoes in any color from the scarf.  That could be one of your go-to outfit formulas allllllll spring.  Easy enough!  Holla for Old Navy ads!

  1. See those shoes look cute on you with that outfit. If i tried to do something like that I would feel very uncomfortable with those shoes. Just can't break out of my matchy-matchyness

  4. This is a great look and you're so right that the scarf is what pulls it all together. I would have never come up with that on my own. Looks great!

  11. LOL, I totally took a screen shot of this same outfit off of Old Navy's website a couple weeks ago and pinned it for future reference! :D ((but I'm a little more of a copy cat... I ordered the exact shirt and destroyed white denim in the photo ha!))

  19. Ok, how in the world do you find pants with that perfect silhouette? I would love to recreate the look of slim pants and heels (I am madly in love with every outfit that you've posted with those heels), but I can't find pants that are the right length and don't stick out at my ankles too much. I have very wide calves and very slim ankles so it just looks awkward.

  20. Kat! It's funny you say that because I would prefer these to be even slimmer! I'm currently thinking of purchasing LOFT jeans in white because I've lost weight since giving birth and am a little slimmer than my pre-pregnancy size, so these white jeans are getting big on me! They were sort of big to begin with, but tolerable until I lost more weight post-pregnancy.

I have that "stick out at the ankles" problem. Right now I'm rolling up these jeans, which helps minimally. Usually LOFT jeans fit slimmer on my calves, but i f they end up not working, I might need to tailor them at the hem (length) and at the calves/ankles for width!

  21. Ha! You are so lucky to have lost the weight so quickly! Guess I need to start trying on pants. I hate shopping at B&Ms, but I'm going to have to suck it up one of these days!
