Shopping Help: Red, Pink, and Coral

You know what's so freaking cool?  I'm writing this post in the car on a long road trip hooking up my laptop to the internet through my phone.  WHAT!  We live in the future!

Anyway!  First order of business: The linkup for yesterday's style challenge was broken for the first half of the day.  It's working again, and there are some cuuuuuuute outfits that people copied from Pinterest, so check that out HERE.

Now, for today.  With Valentine's Day approaching I've rounded up some items in pinks, reds, corals (and threw in a purple one) to get in the mood.  But these are really cute beyond Valentine's Day and great for spring!  I especially love anything coral-ish.  Stacy and Clinton always say it's the color that almost all women think they can't wear but is actually universally flattering.  So one day I tried coral, and they were right.  Bam.  Get one of those in your wardrobe!

They're all from Old Navy and LOFT, which are currently running sales, and Forever 21.

I don't have time to write about them all because my laptop is running out of batteries.  But, MAN, these are cute!  I especially love the two dresses, skirt #8, the first two sweaters, and the lace peplum top which also comes in navy (#6).  And the flats.  Okay, so pretty much all of them.  Haha!

Alright, gotta get back to the car ride.  Typing in the car for too long makes me a little sick anyway.  :P  Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I should try some coral. I've always stayed away from red because I feel it's clashes too much with my auburn hair. But maybe coral would work.

  2. do you know if the button placket makes #10 nursing friendly? after 3 babies, i've figured out that buttons do not automatically equal easy nursing access, especially if they don't go all the way down the front of the piece.

  3. Your post speaks directly to me. I just bought a red dress at Gabe's yesterday. It's more of a summer dress but I'm going to find a way to wear it in the summer but it was a Lane Bryant dress for only $14.99.

I just pulled a jacket like #3 out of my coat closet that I COMPLETELY forgot I had! I'm so excited to wear it in the next few cool months!

  5. I fell in love with #8 - it's gorgeous!

  6. Looove Gabe's! Perfect for finding pieces from Lane Bryant. I've purchased a slew of LB items from there the past couple months :)

  7. Ours just opened a couple of months ago. The first time I went there, they had all kinds of stuff. However, since Christmas, their store looks deserted. Extremely low stock.

  8. Thanks for the suggestion, Diana! I'll have to check them out! :)

  9. I was hoping yes, but I haven't seen it in person so I don't know. It looks like the buttons go all the way down the front when I zoom in.

  10. Never heard of Gabe's! Gonna look it up now. You guys have me intrigued!

  11. you're right! for some reason i couldn't see the buttons very well on the red print, but it's much more obvious on the blue. looks like it'll probably work :)

  12. I'm liking the polka dot button ups, I need to get me one.

I have the problem with gaping too. I wear my buttons ups with a camisole underneath and the buttons done up to under my bust. I leave the top part open.
