Mixing and A-Matching

Today's outfit is a combination of two outfits from last week.  (THIS and THIS.)  I was wearing one and wanted to try the other, and in the process, today's outfit came to be.  That's the wonderful thing about having a mix and match closet--lots of stuff goes with lots of other stuff.  Duh, but when it actually functions like it's supposed to, it's a beautiful thing.

I've been pretty into my navy blazer lately.  The first outfit I wore for this week's style challenge involved a navy blazer too, so this baby's gonna make a another appearance sometime soon.  (This baby meaning the blazer, not Addie.  You can see Addie all over the grammygram.)

Great options for navy blazers below.  Some of them are twill, and some of them are ponte--the kinds that feel like sweatshirts and are much better for casual settings, in a good way!

  2. Addie is adorable!! I know she's not in this post but I was on your instagram. So much cuteness in one little body. I was wondering if you'd consider doing a new mommy post listing gadgets you've found that have been fantastic for babies/mommies or advice (like things you've learned that no one ever told you/things you didn't except) for new mommies.
Thank you for everything you do!!!!!!!!

  3. You are my favorite blogger because you shop your closet and enjoy what you already own. Other bloggers seem to shop constantly, always adding to their overstuffed closets. You come up with the best outfits with items many readers already own (classic pieces). Thanks!

  6. Haha, thanks Shari! Addie is pretty fun. :)

I've tried to keep baby stuff to a minimum here on the blog, but maybe I could do a roundup of baby gear on Instagram.

  8. I think that's an EXCELLENT first color. They're hard to find though, so if you come across some, don't hesitate!

  12. Oooh, I didn't even think about the higher shaft being difficult to wear with skirts and dresses...I wonder if it's just a different look that you'd need to get used to??

  13. Ah, there's the navy and olive again! My mom just bought me two pairs of pants on clearance at Target...one pair is olive and the other is navy. I am really eager to try wearing the olive pants with my navy blazer like you've been doing!
