The Clutch Dress

During pregnancy I was itching to get back to my normal clothes.  BUT, not to wear all the pieces.  I was actually itching to PURGE.  And now I feel a little like I'm rebuilding my wardrobe, especially now that I have to focus on clothes I can nurse in.

Enter this dress.  I can already tell this dress is gonna be clutch to have in my wardrobe.  It's got a pattern that's interesting but not in-your-face, the silhouette is simple and therefore versatile, it can be dressed up or dressed down and worn plain for warmer weather or layered for cooler weather, and most importantly it's nursing friendly.  There's a snap button right at the V so you can open the dress oh so easily, and now I have a dress I can wear on an everyday basis or dress up for nicer occasions and still nurse in!

Anyway, on the note of purging my closet, I did that shortly after giving birth, but this weekend I finally finally finally got around to taking pictures of the clothes to sell them.  I have about 35 items to list so far, and I'll let you know when I do!  Just don't hold your breath.  It took me nearly 2 months to take pictures of the clothes, sooooooo any bets on how long it'll take me to actually list them?

  5. I'm so glad you found a dress that is nursing-friendly! It's crazy to me how much something as seemingly simple as a wardrobe needs to change with motherhood! My best friend had a baby a month ago, and we were talking about how much she's had to buy so she can nurse her little guy, and have some looser options as her body adjusts to NOT having a baby inside anymore, haha. I love this dress - the colors are so pretty!

  6. I love the colors in the dress. The cognac looks great with it too. Did you simplify the blog design? I'd love to know who did it for you.

  7. Thanks, Meghan! And yes, I simplified it a little. I just reworked the top banner and menubar (did it myself) and streamlined the sidebar.

Very pretty dress - can't wait to see how else you will wear this. I purge my closet from time to time but i never get to the stage of selling my clothes. They sit in a pile and looks so digesting that I just end up donating them.

  9. Funny, I found myself getting rid of a lot of my wardrobe near the end of my pregnancy and after giving birth! I wanted to simply things so it was easier to get dressed in less time - most active I've ever been at clearing out my wardrobe, have never been so passionate before! :)

Glad you are keeping this dress - it's lovely, and practical clothes are always worth it! :)
