So Comfy

Apologies for the lack of posts lately.  The thing about maternity leave is that I hardly go anywhere.  And having recently moved houses, we are still not unpacked and my closet has been in disarray for the last few weeks.  Ah!  This means two things.  One, I'm pretty much in an Everlane tee everyday.  And two, if I do go out (usually to Target) I wear the same thing over and over.  Because I CAN.  And because I need to.  Ain't nobody got time with a newborn to dig through an unorganized closet that is half unpacked for a 45 minute trip to Target.

But I'm back to work soon (way too soon) so here's an ode to fall outfit.  This will definitely be on repeat since it was barely worn.  Had to sneak it in when the weather was cool enough--only at night for a quick trip to an air conditioned place.  This is the top I featured in Four Ways to Wear a Textured Tee and I've been way too excited to wear it.  Thick material and great loose fit = SO COMFY.

Other marled tees below.  All but option 1 come in different colors.

  7. Haha! That's my go-to phrase.

And funny you should mention naps--I just woke up from one. ;) But thank God I'm sleeping 6.5 to 7 hours a night regularly (usually in 3 to 3.5 hour blocks) so I don't need to nap much during the day.

  8. I was so excited about this shirt but was super bummed when I got it. The back is longer than the front and hits at a weird spot on my rear... I came up with about a dozen excuses on why I needed to keep it (it's so freaking comfy! the sleeves are 3/4! the color!), but in the end I took it back. Lucky for me, they had a sweater with similar coloring and was asymmetrical but was longer so I think that helped. AND it's been pretty cool in Illinois (minus this week... hello 80 degrees again) so I've been able to wear it a couple times already (with maroon pants like you suggested in your previous post).

As much as I am dreading winter, I am getting really excited about sweaters and scarves. And boots!

  9. That's a bummer about this top, but I know which sweater you're talking about and I'm glad that worked out for you!

I'll bet you're dreading winter after that doozie of a winter yall had last year!

  10. I know the feeling! If I didn't have to get outside every day to walk the dog, my maternity leave would consist of me sitting around in the house all day! It is nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine now and then though, and adult conversation, even if it is just at the checkout of the store as you buy more baby things haha!

That tee looks so cosy, nice piece :)

  15. Ahh, I swear, Target is one giant black hole. I literally cannot leave that store without spending at least $50. When I moved overseas the #1 thing I missed (after family and friends) was, yep, you guessed it...Target.

    😁

Adorable look. I just found your blog and it's lovely. πŸ‘πŸ‘

I have an absolute obsession with all things plaid. You know its a 'thing' when you do a whole post on it! Ha.

  21. There's "our" shirt! I haven't worn mine yet, but I'm planning to next weekend - woooo! I just love how soft and silky it is, and although it's pretty simple, the marled texture/pattern is interesting enough :) I love how you styled yours - so classy!!!
