Weekend Wear

Often over the weekend I'll wear the same thing because...who cares?  Plus, summer heat + last few weeks of pregnancy + limited wardrobe = ultra not caring.  This was my weekend outfit for Saturday errands and a Sunday after-church bbq.

Even though I've got about 3 weeks left (yikes!) I bought these shorts and I'm SO GLAD.  I've been ridiculously hot this summer thanks to the constant bun in the oven and I only had one pair of shorts, which are patterned.  I desperately needed a solid pair of shorts to make it through this last month, and thank God Target pulled through.

Besides the panel being decently comfortable, the shorts themselves have some stretch to them which makes them pretty dang comfortable for denim shorts.

Let me just say I nailed this weekend.  I've had a to-do list for baby stuff staring me down for a couple of weeks and I tackled it all.  Holler if you know how good of a feeling that is!

  6. Great outfit. Glad you found a cute pair of shorts. I was lucky, I was pregnant during Winter. My son was born in May so it made dressing a bit easier. Glad you were able to get things done because once this baby comes, you won't have as much time. NIce tote :)

  10. Totally hollerin' at ya! You know that's pre-baby super strength, right? I remember being 4 weeks away with my second, moving into a new house, deciding I hated the rosebushes, grabbing a spade and digging out all those bushes by myself. :D

  11. You're looking great, not long to go! :)

I bough a pair of maternity shorts a little later on too, despite it being autumn I was feeling quite warm with the pregnancy. Although they didn't have a low cost per wear, the comfort they brought was worth the price IMHO! :)

    Enjoy those last few weeks!

  13. You look great! And you'll probably get some use out of those shorts for a few weeks (at least) after the baby arrives, as well, so you'll get your money's worth! Blessings for a healthy remainder of your pregnancy and the delivery!

  15. Those sandals are really cute and would be a great addition to my shoe collection. I'm wondering how comfortable they are. I notice that my sandals from Target have no cushion whatsoever. Please tell me they are comfy. :)

  16. They don't have any cushion, so there's no padding like normal Target sandals. But they're really bendy, so in that sense they feel oddly comfortable to me.

  17. Thank you for responding so quickly. I will definitely try them on next time at Target.

  18. It's hard to believe there are only 3 weeks left! I think the denim shorts were a good choice--they'll go with so many different tops. Love this look!

  21. I have those same shorts! Well, the low-panel version, but its probably about time to switch to a fuller panel because my belly has been pushing it down awkwardly lately. Anyway, my point of this was to say thank goodness for the shorts because they've helped get me through summer!
