Shopping Help: Stripe Obsession

STRIPES!  Who doesn't love them?  Okay, well, I didn't until about 3 years ago when I started blogging.  Yet another thing I didn't understand why so much hype was involved.  Now I get it, and I'm addicted.  If you're into stripes, you might be on excitement overload right now.  If you're not into stripes...what's wrong with you?  Just kidding.  But, really...  ;)

For a long time I was on the hunt for "the perfect" striped tee.  I gave up once I realized two things: 1) stripes are just way too addicting to limit yourself, and 2) not all stripes are alike, so it's okay to have a few different striped tops.  That's what I tell myself to relieve guilt, at least.  Ha!

Anyway, here's some stripey goodness in a few different forms!   They're all under $35, a third of them are under $15, and some are even under $10!

Tees:  Option 1  |  Option 2  |  Option 3
Simple striped tees.  I really can't get enough of them.  I particularly love ones that drape a little rather than hug you tightly.  Gives a nice, relaxed look, but you can easily add a statement necklace to dress them up too!  All of these come in at least one other color.

Red/Orange Tees:  Option 4   |  Option 5  |  Option 6
Why is reddish/orange/coral such a popular color for stripes?  I dunno, but it works!  Great alternative to the normal navy/white/black striped neutrals you see.

Not Tees:  Option 7  |  Option 8  |  Option 9
I love both the striped anorak and the sweatshirt--looks so comfy!  And the blouse (option 9) is under $10!!!

Skirts & Dresses:  Option 10  |  Option 11  |  Option 12
I love all three of these pieces!

Accessories:  Option 13  |  Option 14  |  Option 15
And finally, striped accessories.  Because obsessions run deep, my friends.

Also, friendly reminder that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts today!  It's the largest annual sale of the year, and it's not for old items like sales usually are.  This is for fresh pre-fall and fall products!  Check out the sale here!

  3. I eye it EVERY TIME I'm at Old Navy but I have no idea how it'll fit on my non-pregnant body, so I can't buy it :( Wah wah! Haha. I'm so glad to hear you love it though!!

  5. I denied my love for stripes for a long time too, but once you admit it to yourself, there's no going back! I'm really loving the backpack and watch!

  6. I used to think stripes didn't look good on me, but then I realized how wrong I was and now I keep looking for more striped pieces. The striped hoodie is so cute - I haven't really worn hoodies in a long time, but I would wear that!

  7. I also have a stripe addiction! I just added two striped tees from J.Crew Factory to my collection :)
I think my next addition will have to be the pink striped watch...

  10. Hmmm stripes are my favorite pattern ever! Somehow I just gravitate towards them in the stores. However, just recently, I feel like I DID find the 'perfect' striped top...from H&M! It's thin black-on-white stripes, with longer short-sleeves (I'm with Fran on the cap-sleeves), has a comfortable higher neckline, and is made out of comfortable, stretchy material. If you don't have this tee already, I encourage everyone (well maybe not everyone) to go buy it! :)

  12. Yes, I definitely love stripes as well - I have several striped tees in various colors, styles, and sleeve-lengths, as well as a few striped dresses. They really are so classic and versatile! I am smitten with blouse #9!!
