Comfy Town

Get a load of this baby bump.  Growing like a weed!

This weekend was full to the max but somehow restful at the same time.  It included a wedding, coming really ridiculously close to buying a house, (WHAT?  Yes, we are 5 weeks out from our due date and that happened.  We're nuts, but it's a no-go anymore...) a Texan BBQ cookout, watching the World Cup, and finally, finally, FINALLY starting to turn our guest room into a guest/baby room.  Not done, but at least we started.  Okay...that last one was really me telling Benson where to put things while I ate ice cream and watched.

So, comfy t-shirt dress #2?  Yes.  Please.  Not just for full weekends, but for everyday here on out because I'm finally starting to feel pregnant with the loose joints and all.  I'm not complaining--I'm at 35 weeks and so ridiculously grateful that my body hasn't ached until now.  I'm just saying I've now become a magnet to the comfiest clothes possible.  Soooo, looks like it's all pajama clothes and ice cream from here on out!  Good?  Good.

This was really helpful! Thank you!

  2. You look radiant! And 5 more weeks? Oh, lord! You ready? Are you doing all this without an epidural? 'Coz I'm just telling you, based on my two births - one with and one without - I highly recommend with. Fer sure! But then again, maybe I just wanted to look good for pictures. LOL.

Btw, did I miss it or have you not yet done the big reveal of the little one's name?

  3. Pajamas work as long as your comfy. You look great, 5 weeks you will have a bambino. Awesome.

  4. Thank you so much for this - it came at the perfect time for me! Moving + blogging = stressful right now, even though I am dying to throw myself into my blog. I just started making a schedule and I'm hoping carving out blocks of time to put together posts will help out a lot. So nice to hear that it works for someone so successful! Thanks again <3

  5. I am loving how everyone is styling this dress with simple accessories. I probably over-killed it with so many layers and accessories, but it's a statement and a blank slate all at the same time. It looks perfect on you. Cannot wait to meet the little one soon!

  6. Yayyyyy, I'm so glad to hear that, Sarah! My hope for this blog is to make fashion attainable, so you saying that is really the best encouragement I could hear! Best of luck with everything!

  7. Oh my gosh, you're the cutest, Audrey! I love this dress with the ankle boots, and have the different sized stripe one, so might have to play around with my ankle boots soon! Love it, and enjoy that ice cream, lady!

  8. Love how you styled your dress as usual!

  9. Aw, thank you Maricel!

We haven't revealed her name yet. That won't come until she's born. :)

  10. I can't even wear layers most of the time right now, so it has to be with simple accessories. Usually I'm not hot in the summer, but with a bun in the oven I feel warm all the time.

You are looking so adorable! It does look like your baby bump grew a bit overnight. Lucky you that it's all baby.

  12. Great idea to take the outfit pictures in advance!

  13. I'm so glad I'm not the only person who takes photos in batches instead of every day. I used to do them every day, too, but then if something came up I just spent my time stressed about not taking a picture instead of enjoying whatever it was that I was doing instead.

  14. That is a serious time commitment, and not for the faint of heart! You are definitely superwoman. Take the compliment - take it!

  15. I love the dress so much! It seems like such a versatile pregnancy dress! And you are definitely growing a lot - you look great, Audrey! I would love an update on your guest room/nursery when you get there. That is our plan for our little one (we only have 2 bedrooms) and it is just a lot of consolidating!

  16. This is really helpful since I have a similar body shape to Leanna--and validating because it IS really hard to find clothes in Petite that aren't old lady clothes. (You know--shoulder pads and sequins.) So far all of your advice has been really helpful, this blog is really great!

  17. Thanks so much for writing, Angela! I'm glad to hear this is helpful for you!
