Summer Style Linkup

We've got a fun thing going on today--a linkup!  I get to co-host with the beautiful Tara from Mix & Match Fashion for her weekly Summer Style Linkup!

I'm pretty sure I've said before that these shorts are my summer lifesaver while pregnant.  They're soooo comfy, and I often change into them while just lounging around the house.  The good news is that they're available in non-maternity too!  You can see all the ways I've worn them here, and today I paired them with a white base and green and turquoise accents for a bright, summery look.  I think I wore this outfit nearly every other day last week, so I thought it'd be great for Tara's Summer Style Linkup!

Shop for the Look:
Top: Old Navy Maternity (exact)
Cardigan: H&M (similarsimilar)
Shoes: Target (exactsimilar more colorssimilar)
Bag: Target (exact)
Necklace: Nordstrom (really similar--$6!, similarsimilar)

If you don't know Tara yet, she's got a professional wardrobe suited for her job as a teacher but that's also super fun and colorful .  However, today we're both in shorts with a green and turquoise palette!  Apparently green + turquoise is a thing, so you should get on board with it.  ;)

Link up with your summer outfits!

  12. Beautiful! This is great inspiration, thanks!

  13. Audrey, did you feel like the jeans fit true to your pre-pregnancy size according to their website's size chart?

  14. Yes, mostly. I tried the S which I think is for 4-6, and the M is for 8-10. I'm normally 6/8, and it said to size down if between sizes. However, the S was a little too small for my comfort, so I went with the M. But, sometimes I was an 8 pre-pregnancy when it comes to skinny fitting things.

  15. Aw, thanks! I kind of miss that dress, though not necessarily the being pregnant :) Keep enjoying dressing that bump though while you have it, because it will be gone so quickly it's mind-boggling. It's the strangest thing to live with it for so long in terms of size and feeling baby kicks and then to not have it any more - almost made me wonder if it was ever real!

  16. So bright and cute!

Hi! So maybe you already have a post on this but you make being pregs look so darling! I am 4 months along and officially at a place where my clothes don't fit anymore... even my casual weekend pieces :/ I'm trying to gradually build my maternity wardrobe without breaking the bank... where do you find the best stuff/deals??? Thanks so much!

  18. Congrats, Magdalena! I haven't posted on it much yet. I'm trying to pull together a post on maternity pieces now that I'm almost done. So far I've only written one for a small to medium bump: http://www.puttingmetogether.com/2014/04/small-to-medium-bump-nonmaternity-style.html
I've mostly only bought maternity tops from Old Navy and a few pairs of maternity jeans--one from Target, one on sale at LOFT, and then I was given this pair from Lilac Clothing. Otherwise, I wear non-maternity maxi skirts from before I was pregnant, jersey dresses from before I was pregnant, and non-maternity dresses with either an empire waist or no seaming at all so I can belt them over the bump.

    Good luck!

    Thanks so much Audrey!
I just ordered a few things from ASOS, LOFT and Old Navy! Plan on utilizing your remixing your wardrobe post to see what items I can make work for a few more months :)
