Solids With Details

Last weekend I wore this to a friend's backyard birthday party.  While I was in Maui I wore these shorts with a navy v-neck tee, but for the birthday party I opted for a blouse with more detail to dress up the casual vibe slightly.  Just slightly though!  A solid top with a little bit of detailing can go a long way, and below are some more examples of tops like this.  Even though the top is solid you can be light on the accessories since the top already has interesting details.  I particularly like #5 from H&M--great for spring and summer!

On the pregnancy note, I look pretty pregnant in this outfit in real life, but for some reason you can still hardly tell in these pics.  The baby belly popped out for real during week 24 in Maui, and tomorrow I'll hit week 26.  I've been feeling really good and very normal, though as this belly is growing I'm starting to wonder how I'll tie my shoes (running shoes for working out) or clip my toenails in weeks to come.  :P

  9. It depends on how your belly shapes. Not everyone carries like a basketball! I carried like a football, between my hips,s o I could still bend down. Though at the end of my second pregnancy my on was so huge my Husband just tied my shoes for me. You look adorable. I've always loved longer sleeved tops with shorts. I feel like I reach for short sleeves/long pants far too often.

  10. Love this look! Perfect for a summer BBQ. Will have to remember that with my current pair of printed shorts. And just you wait on that belly... it takes more than half of the pregnancy to pop, and then it starts going at an exponential rate. Pedicures and slip-ons are the solution eventually :) You're looking great, lady!

  11. Slip on shoes yes. The problem is running shoes with laces!

  12. I saw those shorts on Insta & had to come comment about how cute you have been with your pregnancy style, normal, but embracing the bump (if that makes sense). Good to hear that you are feeling well :)
