Crispy

I'm so glad I FINALLY got to tell you all the news about our growing family!  That...and now I can finally talk about my pants not fitting.  I was wearing these olive jeans an awful lot, for like a week straight, because they were the only jeans that fit.  I had them in a pile for alterations but then I found out I was pregnant and figured they'd eventually come in handy so I never got them altered.  Thank goodness, cuz I needed them!

I eventually got a BeBand as well as some maternity jeans, and my 14-15 weeks pregnant uniform quickly went from the ensemble above to the one below:

(I can take full outfit pics of this version later this week if you guys don't think that's redundant.  Let me know and I'd be happy to!)

And this white blazer is the winner of the last two weeks.  I don't know if white blazers are gonna be "in" in the spring, but how could they not be?  They make for a crisp outfit!

  1. You are adorable :) And I have three different white blazers (*GASP*), so it'd be great to know they're "in" for spring!

  2. I love the white blaer, but I don't own one. Maybe it's time to start looking! And I've already said Congrats, but I can't wait to follow your pregnancy (even though those days are long over for me!)

  4. I love the white blazer with the jeans, looks great! and you look great for being 14-15 weeks pregnant! And I love that beband thing, it totally helped the first time around, the second time, not so much, your body somehow remembers you being pregnant and you go from not being pregnant to looking like you're 5 months pregnant in about a week, lol.

  5. I do love this look, but I never seem to chose white... Maybe I'll look around for a tan/cream version! The H&M blazer might be perfect. Thanks for the suggestion!

  6. Love that white blazer on you. Unfortunately, I can't wear them because I am a stain magnet and would not even be able to get out the door without spots & splatters all over me.

  7. I TOTALLY know what you mean about the second time around...not that I've had more than one. BUT, one of my best friends is like a week apart from me but is on her third kid, and she looks way way way more pregnant than I do.

  8. I think you look fab, I love the wavy hair so definitely re-create that! You don't look pregnant at all, so it's crazy your pants aren't fitting! Though you are quite thin, so you'll show soon. I can't wait to see how you face the fashion hurdles of bump dressing :)

  9. Yay! I follow you on Pinterest and saw a few of your recent pins before I saw this post. I had my fingers crossed! I'm 12 weeks pregnant and definitely feeling the need for some new wardrobe staples... like pants that fit comfortably! ;) I'll definitely be following along to see the fashion choices you make over the next few months!

  12. Its crazy how quickly your body changes! But I really like both outfits, I'm actually thinking the second one is my favorite. Shirt untucked, plain blue jeans...its casual but polished with the blazer.

  14. How fantastic! Congratulations. I'm a frequent reader, first-time poster. I have an 19-month-old toddler, so pregnancy wasn't too long ago. My advice: Invest in a few good pairs of actual maternity pants and jeans you love, and then you can mostly make due with your own non-fitted tops, plus some cheap/fun one-size-up-from-normal stuff. Can't wait to see what you post!

  16. I bought a white blazer at the end of the summer last year, and I've been anxiously waiting for spring so I can wear it :) I agree that they add a little polish to any outfit!

  17. This is such a clean and crisp Audrey outfit! I tried clicking on your exact olive skinnies because I've been looking for a pair but it brought me to your blue jeans! Just a heads up :) Love the white blazer!

I'm new to your blog and loving its content. Such an exciting time in your lives! Congratulations!! I first saw my now 14 month old via ultrasound right around 15 weeks, too. It was the most thrilling moment I can remember. There's actually a human being growing inside of you. Believe me. This will be the most precious little being in your life from now on. I couldn't be happier for you.

I can't wait to see you feature maternity clothes (we're contemplating baby#2) as well as nursing friendly attire that isn't specifically NURSING attire. You'll get there. You'll discover how having quick and easy access all the while being discreet AND cute/fashionable is going to become one of your biggest challenges. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

  25. I want to say THANK YOU for your site. I had a baby in 2012, and gained about 40 lbs. I now weigh less than I did before I was pregnant, mostly from chasing a toddler around! My body is also different (wider hips and rib cage, and zero chest!). I have never had style, and would definitly consider myself fashion-challenged. I decided I wanted to put more effort into my appearance than the same-old jeans and t-shirts that didn't flatter me anyway. I stumbled across your "wardrobe from scratch" and it is amazing how helpful it has been for me!! Although your style is affordable to begin with, I mostly shop at thrift stores. I tend to gravitate towards the J. Crew/Banana Republic/Anne Taylor clothes, but would usually just buy a name-brand piece I liked with no regard for how it would fit in my wardrobe. Needless to say, I ended up with a lot of things that are nice, but nothing that goes together!!! I went shopping today (at the thrift store!) and found that with your guidelines and suggestions, I was able to pick things off the racks I would usually overlook, and they (not surprisingly) looked great on!!! I like your philosophy of starting with the foundation pieces, and building from there. Your basic, step-by-step approach is AWESOME and exactly what I needed to build my new wardrobe and look more put together. THANK YOU SO MUCH, and congratulations on the growing family!
