Put a Scarf On It

This was my weekend, pizza-eating, errand-running, Container Store perusing outfit.  I know a lot of you still aren't in spring weather, but we're pretty much perpetually in it over here besides a few random weeks of cold.  Spring weather is my favorite because it means plain tops and breezy patterned scarves.  Summer might be too hot for scarves, and colder weather requires thicker knits.  My favorite kinds of scarves are the light ones with patterns and prints!  They makes getting dressed so easy.  Like, so easy I always feel like I'm cheating.  But hey, if life is going to offer me a way to cheat the system I'm going to take it.  I promise with all of my integrity, I will cheat every time.

(Turns out I could only find decently priced cargo jackets at Old Navy and Forever 21!)

  5. Great outfit! I've avoided these jackets because I can only picture them being part of a super casual outfit, but with the scarf and flats and nice pants, it really looks more dressed up. So cute!

  7. I really like how the blue in the scarf and the blue in the shirt are not exactly matching, but they work together perfectly. - Katy

  9. I have been following your blog for a few months. Your look always looks effortless but when you look closely, I can see that you have been very thoughtful about the combinations.
For example, the brown in the scarf, bag, and shoes links everything together.

Thanks for all the links to the cargo jackets--I was just looking for one online today, only to find that they were all $100+!

  11. I really cannot figure out scarves- they always look so lovely on you and others, but just can't get used to them on me! But I wanted to thank you for turning me on to jeans from Loft - I found a pair that fits me perfectly!

  12. This scarf is so great! I love the pairing of colors in it, especially for a lot of the colors you tend to wear.

  14. It's quite funny but I realize how long it's been since I properly read blogs because the first thing I noticed on your post was how long your hair got from what I remember. I realize this might make me sound a little stalker-y but it's not my intention hehe!

  15. Haha! You're not the only person to have commented on it in the last 2-3 posts, so no worries. Apparently it's noticeably longer these days!
