A Snakeskin Update

This is my fall version of a summer look I did with snakeskin and olive bottoms.  I remember surprising myself when I was drawn to a snakeskin top since I typically wasn't one for snakeskin.  At that point I resolved that I could get on board with it in a print that was lighter and not too in-your-face.  But it seems that my tastes have expanded a little more because when I was searching for snakeskin top options this time, I came across ones like options 4-6 and thought they were also cool ways to do snakeskin.  I think option 4 is really elegant as it is a simple white blouse with just a touch of snakeskin.  Option 5 is a cool printed sweatshirt, and while the print is a little bolder, for some reason the sweatshirt material makes it seem more wearable in my mind.  Option 6 is a lot more tasteful than other snakeskin tops I've seen and can easily be worn casually with jeans and booties or dressed up with a skirt and metallic jewelry.

Where are you at with snakeskin?  Could you see yourself wearing one of these?

Cute! I like it paired with the olive jeans. I don't own much in snake print and tend to prefer leopard.

P.S. I am hosting a Kensie giveaway, I hope you will stop by and enter :)

I think I could see myself wearing snakeskin over other animal prints because I feel like it's a little more like a pattern and less of an obvious animal print. Haha I think I'm a little too reserved to show up in animal prints.

  3. I loveee that sweater!

  4. I do like how subtle the top is. And that sweater… Love it!

  5. Your shirt is so lovely with the olive green pants! :)

  7. You just made me think I need to get out my olive pants from my closet! Love it with the tan boots.

  8. I remember the post you did with snakeskin in the summer and I loved the look! I dont have anything with that print but I do think it can be a great neutral, like leopard! I like option 4 and the one you have on! Great style ideas! Susan

  9. I am with you and never been a fan of snake skin tops. But, the ones that you have chosen are tasteful and subtle enough that I think maybe I could give it a try. Thank you for all you do on your very instructional and helpful blog. I have learned so much and I am a regular reader.

  10. okay, this is why I can't read your blog daily...I just had to go and check out some of the snake-print shirts you listed and one of them landed in my Kohls cart, haha!! Really though, I LOVE your blog and the combos you put together. But it does cause me to go shopping after I've look through a couple posts! Thanks for linking us up to great items!!

  11. I thought your shirt was lace! Lol. The snakeskin is very subtle.
