Blousy

My friend gave this shirt to me since it was too big for her.  She's about 5'2" and pretty tiny, but someone gave this to her as a gift while she was pregnant, saying she could wear it after having the baby too.  I don't know how they thought this would ever fit her since it didn't really fit her when she was pregnant, plus she's 4 inches shorter than me and it's still plenty long on me.  But hey, free shirt!  I do find it a little blousy on me and worry people might think I'm with child when I'm not, but at the same time that makes it a perfect outfit for Thanksgiving.  Because then, I will most definitely have a food baby.  I think congratulations are in order--I'm registered at Target.

  2. LOL! You don't look "with child" but I have felt that way too in certain shirts. Cute as always. =D

  4. Same size as your friend. Love the shirt, but like her probably wouldn't fit me as nicely as it fits you.

  5. Well...I don't know if it's actually the shirt itself that didn't fit her well as much as the fact that they bought her a LARGE! You could probably buy a shirt like this in Small and find that it would fit. :)

  6. Very cute! I actually got a shirt very similar to this from my maternity-clothes Stitch Fix! It looks okay post-baby, it's just way too long now. I've passed it on to another pregnant friend.

  8. I think you might have 1 or 2 buttons undone in the back... I have never understood the benefit of wearing anything again after you are pregnant. I have had 4 kids, and anything I actually likes wearing, I was sick of by the time the baby arrived.

  9. LMAO. The blue is so pretty on you, and the buttons are fun.

Loose tops are not flattering on my figure and I def look like I am with triplets! I think the key is wearing fitted bottoms which you did here. Great balance and yes to food baby!

  16. I think loose tops and tight pants are a great look! And a long necklace like you're wearing here helps to highlight that you aren't hiding a giant baby bump underneath! :)

So nice of your friend to gift you the top :)
