Fall Coloring

Let's not talk about these wrinkles, okay?  Wrinkles and Mondays should not go together, but I'm showing you the close up anyway.  I have a few business-y type of meetings this week which will be a nice change to my normal casual weekday outfits.

I think I heard somewhere that maroon is back "in" this season.  Is that true?  Not that it really matters--I was getting back into maroon and planning to wear it this season regardless, but at least if it's "in" it means I'll be able to find more of it in stores.  It used to be one of my favorite colors in my "dark era," (the era when my mom told me I wore too much black) and I am happily coming back to it!  That, and OLIVE.  Digging them both right now!  Which colors are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

(The first one below has nice swiss dot detailing that you can't see in this pic.)

  2. Great color for you! I'm always drawn to army green because it makes my eyes pop. I also love browns and greys in the fall with just a bit of color to accent.

Very pretty color combo. I have been stocking up on my fall clothes - there's been so many cute things at the stores that I can't resist. Now if the weather just cools down just a bit.

  8. Really love this color combo and the outfit. Burgundy is actually the color I'm loving this fall. I blogged about burgundy pieces in a recent post.

  9. I can't wait to wear more teal and plum! I love this! The navy and oxblood look decadent together, but the white dots keep it fun and fresh and light. Lovely!

  12. I do have a pair of maroon/burgundy pants. And I'm looking forward to incorporating rich mustard in to my fall wardrobe. Also, I think a tan belt would have looked good (as well) with this outfit.

  18. I'm so excited that maroon is back, I've missed it (plus, it's my school/workplace colors, so I have plenty of it). I also am really loving teal for the fall.

  20. I was shopping last weekend and looking for deep red (maroon, oxblood, blood red, burgundy, whatever), and dark green (olive, moss, dark emerald), and I was surprised at how little was available. These are supposed to be the it colors this fall, right? If so, why are they impossible to find in stores?

  21. I always love maroon for fall, regardless of if it is in or not...it looks great paired with your polka dots!

  22. I don't think Maroon ever left, we just called it oxblood last season!

  23. I think burgundy is totally in again this season! The color of that top looks great with the polka dot skirt. And did you FINALLY bust out your new bag? Or was it just for pictures??

  24. HA! Still just pics. I've FINALLY decided to keep it but i'm waiting to order a little plastic insert thingy to put at the bottom of my bag so that it doesn't sag once I fill it with heavy things. I already ruined a bag overloading it and not having any support underneath.

  25. Interesting...when you get it, will you share the info? I'm curious about this plastic insert thingy!
