Weekend Everyday

This outfit is so appropriate for how I have felt this summer: laid back, carefree, and light.  Is it just me, or does every day this summer feel like the weekend?  We've been walking along beach boardwalks, chilling on cliffs that overlook the ocean, nomming on s'mores around bonfires, and going to the zoo--on weeknights!  It seems like we're finally making up for being lame San Diegans who have hardly enjoyed the perks of this city for the 13 years we've lived here.  I know, slap us silly.  We deserve it.  But at least let us eat a s'more while you do it.

Below: number one seems realllllyyy similar to the one I'm wearing, and I really like number four in yellow.

  1. Cute! If you are open to CC, I would not belt over a graphic tee. Love the bag and your new haircut too though!

  5. Such a cute summer outfit! I like the tee and skirt together :)

Summer always makes you want to do more in the evenings while it's still warm and sunny :)

  7. A good white skirt is what I'm missing in my wardrobe. Sometimes OI think I spot one, but they're always see-through :( Love this outfit Audrey! And I also liked your FB-page ^^ xo

  8. Love how you belted your graphic tee! I will definitely have to try this!

  9. I've gotta admit that I'm not digging the belted graphic tee. And obviously if *I* don't like it, then it's a terrible outfit because only my way is the right way and my opinion is the most important ;) haha, just kidding. I do like the graphic tee and flowy skirt though, maybe just not belted next time, or knotted instead? I dunno.

Please stop linking to that Dorothy Perkins skirt (you linked to it before, right? i remember it) because I really want it. like super bad.

  10. I tried without one, tried knotting it, tried tucking, tried everything. I had no idea that belting a graphic tee was going to become such a topic of discussion.

  11. Lol sorry hope my initial comment didn't come off as rude, I just think its odd to belt something that doesn't need to be belted, and especially when the belt cuts in half the graphic. I get that you wanted to create some shape to the outfit and define the waist because loose tee + flowy skirt = no shape. I think it would have worked better with a solid or patterned tee, or a more form fitting skirt.

Then again, that's just my personal opinion and style is so subjective :)

  12. I like the belt! I think it adds *just* enough structure to the outfit. I just can never get myself to wear belts at my waist in the summer because my back gets sweaty where the belt is (TMI). Sorry this comment is coming in so late -- I'm trying to get my summer wardrobe in order before the heat starts in LA. Love your summer outfits!
