Fall Shopping: Leopard Flats

Even though it feels like summer is just starting here I'm already thinking about fall purchases!  And very first on the list is leopard flats.  I think they are such a great way to add a little punch to your outfit without being overwhelming, and you can wear them in the summer or in the fall which makes them a great transition piece!

I bought option 6 when I saw them on sale at Target the other day, but I'm not sure if I want that style or skimmers with more of a pointy toe like options one or four.  The price on #6 is hard to beat though!

On another note, what's on your fall wish list?  I could potentially pull together some shopping options for yall if there is overlap among you!

  1. I love option #6 because they are really cute and only $16.99! :)

  2. I just bought a pair of leopard flats too! Mine were Franco Sarto from Nordstrom Rack. I only paid $20 for them, but now I think I paid too much! I've worn them several times already though so I'm pretty pleased with my purchase. Much more versatile than I previously thought!

  3. I bought a pair of the pointed toe from Target and LOVE them! I got them last year and they have help up really well.

I love leopard flats -- I feel like they go with everything! xo

  5. I love this post! I typically can't wear flats because my feet are narrow but my toes are long so they never fit right. BUT I have been trying to decide whether to get leopard or camo print toms for the fall and you totally swayed me :)

  6. Leopard flats have been on my wishlist forever! I bought a pair from Target recently that I am wearing nonstop but I am still searching for pointy ones that aren't a fuzzy type fabric. I hate that fabric. Here are the ones I got... I also got them in black :-) http://www.target.com/p/women-s-mossimo-supply-co-voneta-studded-tuxedo-flat-leopard/-/A-14471242#prodSlot=medium_1_26&term=leopard

My fall wishlist is black wedges and red pointy flats.

  7. I think it's time to add some pointed toe shoes to my closet. Love 7!!!

  8. I'm thinking of splurging on these ones by Lucky brand: http://www.zappos.com/lucky-brand-emmie-luxe-leopard?zfcTest=fcl%3A0

I have an adorable pair by Lauren Conrad that I got from Kohl's last year, but every single time I wear them I want to throw them away. One loop around the grocery store and my feet are absolutely killing me. Sadly my feet apparently don't like cheap shoes. :(

  9. My list of things to buy: pointy flats, gray skinny jeans/pants, lightweight sweaters, scarves (I've been brave and bought one thanks to your cute examples).

    ReplyDelete
  10. I have a pair of leopard peep toes that need to be replaced. I'm loving the pointy-toe skimmers!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Love my leopard flats! I've had the same pair for years and they're just so timeless. This fall I want to add some booties to my shoe hoard, but I have such skinny ankles I feel like they all look funny on me.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Cognac boots (!), gray pencil skirt, cardigans, scarves, and the most adorable oxfords found at DSW. Now I'm thinking I should add leopard print shoes to the list!

  13. It's funny that you bought #6 because I had picked them out before I even saw that you bought them. I like that they aren't pointy even though pointy flats are in. I need to get a pair. I'll have to check it out at Target. I"m lusting over leather. I bought a boyfriend sweater with leather pockets from J Crew. Can't wait to wear it.

Looking forward to the link up on Tuesday.

Don't forget to stop by and link up tomorrow, Thursday, for my weekly Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up.

  14. I just bought a new pair of leopard flats at target this weekend and am in love with them! The are a loafer style with a few gold studs across the top! You should check them out!

  15. I've been looking for leopard flats but here in Texas it wont get chilly until December so I'm waiting. What I am starting to hoard are scarves!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've seen 'em! I personally don't see myself wearing loafers in the near future, but I do think those are very cute!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I LOVE leather on stuff--like those cargo jackets with leather sleeves. *drool* and sweatshirts or t-shirts with leather pockets. <3 !

    ReplyDelete
  18. I have skinny ankles and thicker calves so I feel ya. There are some booties out there that work though! Good luck with that :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. They are SO YOU. Did you pick the Gap pair on purpose haha? Right up your alley!

    ReplyDelete
  20. you know me and my love for Gap Inc :)

  21. I need to get some fall/winter shoes. I really need help with what to buy and how to style them. I live in a climate with cold winters and snow, so flats kind of don't work. They don't keep my feet warm and they let in snow. Some help in this are would be SO helpful. I currently have one pair of black flat boots and tennis shoes. So, yeah, I need some help! :)

  22. I have a pair of leopard loafers, I feel like they are a bit more suited for fall because they are more clunky than a pair of ballet flats. This fall I'm interested in booties, but not sure what I'd like best.

    ReplyDelete
  23. My fall must-buys...1) oxfords 2) great pair of black skinny jeans 3) a new fitted chambray shirt 4) Cognac moto jacket 5) olive skinny jeans/pants

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm wearing my leopard flats on my blog today! I'd also like to add a leopard print scarf. And possibly some more colored pants in a fall appropriate color like maroon.

I've never owned leopard flats before but I have been eying the ones from Gap for a while now and waiting for them to go on sale. Thanks for the inspiration!! My fall wish list has new boots!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a pair of leopard print flats that I never wear because they cut across the top of my foot in a weird spot. Maybe you'll inspire me to just buy another pair finally, because I love all those options you listed!
I'd appreciate some ideas for wearing ankle boots. I see them listed as a fall trend everywhere but I have no idea what to actually wear them with. I also always love new ideas for how to wear scarves and belts.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm on the lookout for some flattering olive skinnies (or some other subdued shade of green) to wear with boots. I feel like a color like that would go with both brown and black boots. But I don't want the cargo pocket ones that everyone had a year or so ago.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ditto on the black skinny jeans and olive skinnies. My black jeans need to retire so I've been on the hunt!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Check target! I got olive skinnies there last year at Christmastime and I LOVE them! I feel like I saw them there again recently too so give it a look!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Target recently changed the style of their ona flats- they used to scrunch in the back instead of on the sides, and just a couple weeks ago I found the original ona leopard flats in my size on clearance at target for $4.50! Needless to say I eagerly snatched them up and have been loving on them ever since! I wasn't sure if I wanted leopard shoes or not but couldn't pass that price up and now I wonder how I ever questioned wanting them!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh, and I'm definitely interested in some booties (I love yours) and moto jackets, especially the side zip style!

    ReplyDelete
  32. #6 was my favorite before I read your comments, so I think you made the right choice!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I bought some Sam & LIbby leopard smoking-slipper style ones at Target. And now I really want a blue (or purple?) purse. And the perfect white button-down (Ralph Lauren?)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I need suggestions for some cute, versatile boots!! Every pair I have is slouchy suede and I need to mix it up :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. My shopping lists seem to just keep growing. But especially for Fall I'd love to get a nice pair of cognac boots, and perhaps a blazer. And probably more cardigans as I can never seem to get enough of those! lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think I am adding Leopard flats to my list! I.m also searching for a navy blazer!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love the skimmer version with pointy toes the best... I used to have more rounded toe ones, but then the Madewell version just got me. So extra chic to add the point to the print. Option #1 looks like a great knockoff of them! My shoe quest is for the next great pair of cognac riding boots...

  38. I have a pair of leopard flats and I love them. They go with so much and I wear them all the time. Definitely a great item to have on a fall wish list.

  39. Dude, it's the Madewell version that got me too. My other shoe quest is a replacement pair of cognac riding boots! I was a little mean to my current pair over the last two years. :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. I bought a pair at Madewell but I kinda wish I would have waited for one of these lower priced options! All great choices!!

  41. Thanks for the great list! I ordered a pair of leopard print flats online a few months ago but I'm not loving them...the print is almost so dark that you can't tell they are leopard print. I might just have to order one of the pairs you've found :)

One (of the many) things on my wish list for this fall is a pair of patterned pants (denim or otherwise). I would love to see your recommendations!

  42. Im still looking for a navy polka dot skirt like the one target sold out of online. Im a plus size so its very hard to find basic items. Anyone seen a skirt like that online?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I just bought a pair of leopard loafers from the Kenneth Cole Outlet last month and am absolutely loving them! They are the perfect! I've been stocking up on statement necklaces, plain tees, and pencil skirts for the fall.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have #6 from target and I love them! Super comfy

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ugh. I had a pair of leopard flats from high school that I only recently got rid of (maybe a year ago) -- now I am going to have to buy a new pair. :)

  46. I was in LOVE with the madewell pair for the longest time (and I don't even like leopard print!!!!) but I ended up getting the Gap pair that you have featured. Super cute though not *that* comfy.

My fall list includes a pair of cognac flats!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have a pair of pointy toe leopard flats and I really like them, but from time to time I wish I had a more casual, rounded toe flat. Hopefully they'll all go on sale and you can have as many as you'd like haha :)

  48. i just posted my wishlist a few days ago on my blog. Olive skinnies (and black, too), print dress, oxford shoes, burgundy cardigan, solid jewel-tone skirt, and a black blazer were all on there! I love leopard flats. I think I finally wore my Payless pair out.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Skimmers were definitely on my radar for fall. I have a pair of leo loafers that chew my feat up - time to upgrade. I settled for the lesser expensive but no less darling Gap pair.

    Hope you find your fit!

  50. I tried to skim the comments, so sorry if this is a repeat. I loved my leopard flats and wore them a lot, but eventually the finish wore off along the sides where they skimmed the ground. You could see the under layer and it was not cute... Ideas for that? Materials? Size? Just plan to replace them?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I just bought a pair of leopard flats from Target a few weeks ago--I am so excited about them! I would also love to own a pair of leopard pumps and some nude flats for fall.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I have this leopard pair from Payless http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=&subCatId=&skuId=099414055&productId=70092&lotId=099414&category=&catdisplayName=Womens. They are ridiculously comfy.

I picked up a more casual pair of leopard flats at the Bass outlet last weekend for $19.99. They're a scrunch style with a penny loafer detail across the toe. Very cute.

I already have olive skinnies (the ones with ankle zippers from Old Navy). I'm on the hunt for cognac boots, scarves and a new fall jacket.

  53. I got lucky with finding a pair of the Madewell mini wedges on extra 30% off clearance last spring - so they're pretty much exactly the skimmers but with a 1/2 inch wedge, which never hurts for a short lady like me... That helped me go for the real thing, otherwise I like the price of the option you found! Also, do share if you find the perfect boot :) Getting new ones because you wore your last ones out from loving them so much is the best reason, I say!

  54. I am so looking for leopard shoes too! This will be part of my fall wish list! I'm also really looking at camo pants and a pair of camo Tom's( not to be worn together). I already have a pair of olive green jeans from Old Navy that I know will look cute with leopard shoes. I am also on the hunt for a couple of blazers( red & navy) and cardigan sweaters to pair with all my tops to have a more pulled together style. I just wish I could at least start wearing jeans/pants, but in Texas it's just to hot still! Today it's supposed to get to 97 degrees!!! I'm wishing for a cool/cold from to head our way!!!

  55. Gap outlet has the same leopard flats and they are cheaper- just FYI. I bought a pair of leopard kitten heels from target and I was loving them until I walked outside and the bottom of the heel came off. Ugh. Love leopard.
I already started shopping for fall, got the BR giraffe print sweater, a taupe cardigan, and 2 super cute work ready dresses from loft. and new black suede booties from sole society. I am obsessed with Navy lately. I also would love to have some oxblood things in my closet, a scarf, and flats.
