Colors

This is what I wore when I got to hang out with Merrick last week at a cute cafe in Orange County.  SO fun!  Seriously.  I'm so so so so glad I got to hang out with her because she is absolutely FANTASTIC in real life, and her kids blew me away too.

Onto the outfit.  I've totally been going for cobalt lately.  (Fish through the blue outfits here.)  I think when it was kind of popular I didn't want to care because I was tired of everyone talking about it, and now I can finally indulge.  It helps that it's also a great color for both summer and fall.  Brightens up an outfit in the summer or can be paired with black and olive for the fall.  Gotta love it.  What color have you been into lately?

P.S. Don't forget about the One Piece Many Ways linkup on September 3rd!

  8. I love pink and coral! You just made me realize that I got rid of most of the pink and coral items in my closet because my style changed and I haven't found good replacements yet.

  10. I love the blue and yellow together! even though they are my rival high school's colors, haha. And how fun that you got to meet up with Merrick. I have no idea where CA cities are because my geography sucks, but does she live close by? I guess I could just google huntington beach and... san diego. You're in san diego, right? See, I told you I'm bad at this stuff.

Yes cobalt blue is such an awesome color. I know that Green is the color of the year but I am sticking with cobalt. I recently bought a blue purse and love it.

Really like cobalt. Perfect for summer as well as winters. I like how you've incorporated colour-blocking in to the outfit! :)

    Cheers!

  19. Just a question.... While I love the colbalt blue blazer, I still haven't even found a black one! I'm too picky i guess. Is it even worth it to find a black one anymore? Seems like I'l have more luck finding a colored one.

  20. Don't give up if you really want a black one! They're always everywhere--they're a closet staple. And especially as we enter into the next couple of seasons they should be even more available. Check out my Closet Staples page (http://www.puttingmetogether.com/p/where-to-buy-my-closet-staples.html) for a handful of black blazer options from Target. Otherwise, there's a few at SheInside (link to store is on the righthand sidebar of the blog).
