Monday Haze

Yup, I turned my maxi dress into a skirt.  Not permanently, don't worry.  I always feel so sneaky and proud when I make a dress look like a skirt by knotting a shirt over it.  Maybe it's old news to some of you, but I still get a kick out of it.  Especially with this Monday haze I'm in, I consider it quite an accomplishment.

  4. Love it, great idea! If I only had shoes to go with a maxi dress I would run to the shop to get some fabric and make one.....

  7. That dress has so many colors in it, you could pair any t-shirt with it! I love the blue! It compliments the dress very well :)

Perfect 2 in 1! I have a maxi skirt that has an elastic waist that I will hike up and wear it as a midi dress.

Love the print, Audrey! I think the dress would look better as a skirt if you wear it with an orange-ish top? What say?

    Cheers!

  15. I love knotting my shirt, but I recently did this and it totally stretched my shirt out. Does anyone else have this problem?

  18. Yes, most shirts stretch out, so I usually do it on my last wear before I wash it. Washing them usually restores them for me. Sometimes some shirts with a lot of stretchy fabric stretch out restore themselves after like 10 minutes of unknotting, which is nice.

  19. Hm...not sure I have any tips for this. Sorry :(

  20. Done and done. Thanks Audrey!

  21. Sometimes I tie a faux knot with a matching hair band. Because sometimes there's not enough fabric for a real knot!
