Lace Tank

When Lilly posted the pink version of this tank from Target (!) I immediately ran out and got it in black and white.  I've needed to replace my white lace tank and this totally fit the bill.  And why not a black one?  It looks so classy with so little effort.  It's a fantastic alternative to a standard black tank, though actually more comfortable and looks way more polished.  (I'll post more on that next week.)  So, with how easy and wonderful it is in mind, here's a confession: I think I've worn this outfit like 6 times in the last two weeks.  Try not to think of me as dirty, rather...efficient.  :)  Don't front, I know I'm not the only one.  Haha!

No fronts here. I seriously take my outfits off, fold them neatly, and sit them on top of my dirty clothes hamper until I decide to wear them again. Doesn't everyone? :)

    Launching 8.1.13

  2. Yes! I got the white one too! I love tanks that are super cute alone, but will look very pretty under a fall cardi as well. And I love how the color of your shorts/denim/etc. peeks through the lace trim at the bottom. Nowi think I may need another one...

  3. The black looks great with jeans! I also ran to Target to get the pink top that Lily wore. I tried on the pink, white, and blue. The blue one was a winner for me! I have worn it three times in the 10 days that I have had it, It looks best with my pink pants...That was a nice surprise! Can't wait to see your other outfits with this piece.

  4. Hi Audrey! I love when an outfit comes together so simply yet looks so put together! Creating ensembles like this has been my goal this summer and your blog has been so inspiring! I'm really excited for the link up on the 30th. Your pictures always come out so wonderfully...I was wondering if you had any tips for taking photos like yours? I think you posted about this somewhere in your blog before but I can't seem to find it again...

  5. Such a cute lace tank! Adds some interest to a standard tank and jeans outfit, like you said :)

Oooh! I better head to Target!

  10. Very cute tank! And I'm glad I'm not the only one that has run to the store to buy something because of Lilly!

  11. Hey, I have that exact navy lace tank from Target. Super love it. I wore it for the 4th with a pair of white shorts and red jewelry. It's so super versatile and the lace makes it feminine, but not over the top. Love it!

  12. Love the outfit and I love the gold necklace!

  13. my white lace tank has seen better days & I can't believe this one is from Target... gorgeousness!

Thanks so much for changing my mind about black lace, really like this outfit :)
Now if only we had a target here in the UK!

Teeeheeeheee! I feel so powerful! I did this look yesterday with a black lace top and pink denim-type skirt...and it worked!!!!! Thanks for your inspiration, Audrey!

  17. Love this tank on you! I guess I'm in the minority here though because as much as I wanted to take it home, it didn't work for me. The underlayer wasn't long enough to cover my torso. I even tried on more than one to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I could have layered another tank underneath but that seemed to defeat the purpose of a cool flowy tank. :(

  18. I love the lace detail on the bottom! I found a shirt that I really liked at Macy's that had a similar lace trim at the bottom (though the top was more like a t-shirt, here: www1.macys.com/shop/product/tommy-hilfiger-top-flutter-sleeve-scalloped-hem?ID=808189 ) and I really wanted to keep it but the sleeves were just really awkward. Now I'm just thinking that I can go to the fabric store and buy a cut of lace and sew it to the bottom of one of my existing shirts, but I'll see if I ever get around to doing that.

  19. I actually did the same too
