Graphic Tees

Here's a little casual weekend look for ya.  I forgot to post these pictures a few weeks ago when I wore this to a baseball game.  (If you're wondering why I'm not wearing team colors, it's because we got free box seats to a game with teams that I don't have strong attachments to.  Still fun, though.)  The last time I showed this tee was with two outfits (seen here), one super casual and one a little more spruced up.  I really love graphic tees, and I was trying to stay away from them because I went overboard with them at one point.  But sometimes I can't fight this feeeeeling anymore!  (REO Speedwagon, anyone?)  Graphic tees are just way too easy that I can't stay away.  They're not "just like t-shirts," they ARE t-shirts, just with some character.  Talk about an easy way to spruce up casual, yeah?

I particularly love number 4 below.  Adorable!

  1. For some reason, I don't think I have a single graphic tee in my closet! Love the one you're wearing and the anchor tee!

  2. I love a graphic tee. Mine tend to be related to a fandom (Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Audrey Hepburn), but I love the more abstract ones too.

  7. Great look Audrey. Something I would totally wear. I love graphic tees. I bought a great one from J Crew and I love it. They are so versatile and a great option from the plain tee.

Don't forget to stop by my blog and enter both my fabulous giveaways: a pink link bracelet from Gigglosophy and one from Henri Lou.

I feel like graphic tees are either amazing or just wrong, no in between

  9. I have mixed feeling about them - I don't love the one's with obnoxious phrases on them, but I really like shirts with a more subdued feel... like yours! I love that it reminds me of instagram for some reason. Anyway, you look so cute!

  10. I was the same way at one point, my ENTIRE WARDROBE was all jeans and graphic tees. Once I became a mom I decided I was probably too old for graphic tees any more, but there are some really cute subtle ones around now (like yours) that I feel could still be age- and situation-appropriate for me! Yay!

  11. Haha I agree! I usually only had the ones with abstract picture type things.

  12. I must be getting the hang of this style thing. I just ordered #4 a few days ago. A couple weeks ago I wore my black/ white striped dress with a yellow cardi like you posted this week.

  17. Such a nice casual outfit! I really like graphic tees. Or any kind of tee really, I have an embarrassingly large collection for someone who now works in an office 5 days a week, haha!

  22. Really cute use of graphic tees! Feeling inspired :)
Just a question about denim jackets: Can you do yours up?
Okay, I know that sounds like an odd question, but bear with me.
It seems that most people don't button up their jackets anyway, so lets say you buy a jacket that fits well in the shoulders and arms, but just won't button up. Should you buy it anyway?
Or, it is worth it to buy a size up and have the shoulders and sleeve lengths tailored?

  23. I used to be a huge fan of graphic tees, but I haven't worn them in years. I think I overdid them...or maybe I just haven't found any that look grown up and yet wearable. I'll have to keep an eye out for tees that fit my super picky taste, haha. I really love this look, though. I still have mad love for those olive shorts (note to self: BUY OLIVE SHORTS) and I love how the denim jacket pulls it all together.

  24. I love graphic tees and have been looking for good ones! I see cute ones in the store, but I have such a long torso that the cropped look just does not work for me, and I can never find nice long shirts! SIgh. The target tee looks so cute on you though!!

  25. I just discovered your blog today (so I'm commenting on the most recent post), but have loved EVERYTHING on here! :)
I'm an American, but live in Koper, Slovenia. I was looking to "remix" my summer wardrobe (but still stay cool while walking everywhere in our city and living without air conditioning)! I have a lot of dressy clothes (which I wore when I was working in the US), but it's just too hot to wear those (now). So I was kind of in a rut.

I was inspired to remix jewelry, belts, and scarves I currently own in with outfits I hadn't considered! Thanks! :)

  26. Hi Audrey! Agreed, agreed. I am forever in love with graphic tees, and may have even gone overboard at one point BUT: still trying to make them work! I love pairing them with a skirt or even tied over a dress. I have some cargo shorts and a denim jacket, can't wait to recreate this asap! Thanks!

    perfectly priya
