Yellow and Green (and Grey)

Dude.  I'm on a yellow and green kick lately.  Can't help it--when it's super sunny outside bright colors are where it's at.  Blame it on the sunshine.

Sooo, like I told you in last week in the More Sites to See post I got this yellow and grey necklace from a cute Etsy shop called That's Mine.  And I LOVE IT.  Normally I'm not super matchy-matchy with stuff, but I couldn't resist it with the yellow/grey dress and the yellow/grey necklace because...hello, yellow and grey.  <3 <3 <3.  And, I would just like to pat myself on the back for not wearing a belt with this dress for once.  Might be the first time ever.  What can I say, we celebrate monumental victories over here.

    You look great! I was obsessed with yellow last year. I have dress number 8 in navy. It's a really nice dress.

  4. Might I also suggest this dress from Loft:http://www.loft.com/botanic-print-cutout-back-sleeveless-dress/306344?colorExplode=false&skuId=13703660&catid=catl000013&productPageType=fullPriceProducts&defaultColor=3123

    Hopefully the link works. If not, just go to the dresses and look for yellow. Super comfy and very very similar style to what you're wearing. In fact, you've inspired me to try the yellow-green combo with mine!

  6. From your comment on my blog yesterday I could tell you like yellow. Love this dress. It's so pretty. I think many people, including myself, didn't think yellow would look good on them but it does wonders for a person's complexion.

  14. I'm in a yellow kick too! On Tuesday, I got lucky to find #8 in my size and just paid $8 after coupons. I also bought a bright kinda neon yellow polo shirt from Aeropostale. In store it didn't look as bright as at home, but I was like I don't have this color in closet and I think neons are the trend now. Audrey, did you ever bought something that you like at the store and when you got home it looks different than in store, but kept it anyways?

  15. LOVE this outfit on you, Audrey! Every piece is great, but I think the necklace really makes it. I also have to mention what an inspiration you've been to me over the past few months. I was in a fashion funk and felt like I had no style anymore. From you I've learned to be more adventurous with colors, and I've stocked up on belts and colored bottoms (never thought I'd wear green and mustard capris but I'm in love with them!). I always look forward to checking your blog daily. Thank you for sharing!!!

  16. You are KILLING me. Of course I wanted that dress, and of course I looked ridiculous in it. That necklace is a perfect fit for this outfit!

  17. Wow $8! Good find there. And to your question, YES, but then it ends up in my "shopping mistakes" pile. Only keep it if you love how it looks when you're at home.

  19. Ohhh, I do love the necklace with the dress. It's an exact match, but you've already got the great contrast with the cardigan. I think it came together beautifully.

  24. Super cute, Audrey! You also totally got me clicking around That's Mine Boutique and I bought a mint-and-coral statement necklace. Their shop is one of those places where I get fits of "I must have it!" -- thanks for the tip!

  25. Love that color combo! Alas, I can't wear that much yellow because I am super pale/transparent!

  30. So beautiful, Audrey! I am so not good at colors...so I always like to see how you play with color. It's always so intentional and yet a little unexpected. If I had that dress, I would only wear white, gray, or black with it...but the green looks fantastic, and I would never have thought of it! Thanks for constantly inspiring me :)

    Gorgeous necklace! I love that you used the cardigan to keep it from being too matchy matchy. {Although, I must confess, as much as Stacey and Clinton lecture against it, I love matchy matchy. I think it's the perfectionist in me.}

  33. Those yellow dresses are so cute! And I love your additional pop of color in the green cardi. What a happy outfit!

  34. I love this look. I would not have thought to out those two colors together, but it works great :)
