Comfort Food

I've been trying to clean up my wardrobe via Go Chic or Go Home, and in the process of course I had to create a few virtual outfits!  This was one of them, which I wore to dinner with B on Friday.  Thai food of course, because boy oh boy did I need some comfort food.  Not only am I traveling a lot for May and June, but in the middle of it all one of my friends dropped a cray-zayyy bomb on me--not the kind you celebrate but the kind that makes you worry your butt off for them.  One of those things that will alter their lives forever and you keep wondering if it's real.  And then I had to drop a completely separate bomb on someone else about their future--again not the good kind.  BLAHHHHHH!  So as you can see, the only logical option was to gorge myself in Thai food because everyone knows it's good and healthy to drown your stress in food.  What's your comfort food, people?

On a happy note I received a few pieces from INPINK jewelry that I absolutely adore, including this aqua braceleta coral ring, and a fuchsia bracelet.  INPINK's got some beautiful jewelry, and the great news is that they're giving yall 30% off with the code TOGETHER30!  Code is good until 6/30/13.

  3. Goodness! Sorry to hear about that :( I hope everything works out okay.

Anyway, that blazer is so pretty! I might just have to get (even though, as a stay at home mom, its usefulness might be limited haha).

  4. Sorry, that does sounds like a hard few days. I hope you are feeling better. Nothing like good comfort food (although mine all has to do with a ton of sugar...). I am in the market for a blazer just like this! Love it with the leopard shoes.

  10. I'm having a hard time narrowing down a comfort food...basically anything with a lot of carbs and a lot of cheese :)

And I'm loving the coral and leopard together!

  11. When it rains, it pours! I'm sorry things have been rough lately. I too have been shattered by those moments, the ones where you learn that health/life as you knew it is over, and you must suddenly cobble together a new normal.

I'm sending good thoughts for your friend. And of course, my
comfort food suggestion, kind of an unusual one: cauliflower, steamed just-just,
and then stir-fried in coconut oil, with favorite spices of the moment. (I'm telling you, "manna from heaven" was stir-fried cauliflower!)

  12. This morning I was looking in my closet thinking "I need a coral blazer!" All as a result of reading this post yesterday so I thought I'd come back and tell you today that you were in my head this morning...and that is a GOOD thing!! :)

  14. I'm in love with this blazer and your flats!

  15. It's amazing! Don't steam it too much--just enough to soften it up. The real magic happens when you stir-fry it. :)
